JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled System and Network Integration Engineer with an active Top-Secret clearance to support a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) buildout. The ideal candidate will have experience working in classified environments, integrating systems and networks, and aligning infrastructure with DevSecOps pipelines and mission-critical requirements. You will be instrumental in deploying secure, compliant, and scalable solutions that meet DoD and IC requirements.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and maintain systems and network integration for a new SCIF buildout, ensuring all solutions meet classified environment standards.
- Collaborate with security, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams to design, configure, implement, and maintain secure systems and networks.
- System Administration responsibilities; Coordinate and oversee the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware, software, and network devices within the SCIF.
- Ensure alignment with DoD STIGs, NIST 800-53, ICD 705, and other relevant federal requirements and frameworks.
- Integrate and validate classified systems and ensure seamless connectivity to enterprise environments, where applicable.
- Participate in technical reviews, system assessments, and accreditation processes (e.g., RMF).
- Document system configurations, diagrams, and as-built designs to support ongoing O&M and security audits.
- Serve as a technical liaison with customer stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Active Top Secret clearance (SCI eligibility preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in systems integration, network engineering, or similar technical roles within classified or DoD environments.
- Deep knowledge of SCIF infrastructure requirements, including power, cooling, cabling, shielding, and TEMPEST controls.
- Hands-on experience with DoD networks, cross-domain solutions, firewalls, routers, switches, and virtualized environments.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines, tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes), and secure CI/CD practices.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks such as RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and ICD 503.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team player who can work independently in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience supporting SCIF design/build projects.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, or Linux+.
- Experience with tools like Ansible, Terraform, or other infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Background in air-gapped or cross-domain system integration
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the standard duties of this job, the employee can expect light physical exertion with long periods of sitting, occasional standing and walking; limited bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; occasional lifting/moving of items up to 25 pounds. Hearing and speech communication in person and over the telephone is essential to fulfilling the duties of this position. Specific vision abilities required to read printed materials and a computer screen; including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently surrounded by other employees and their conversations on the telephone and in person. The noise level and indoor office temperature may vary.
Estimated Pay Range
$120,000 - $145,000 USD
