Position Overview

The Senior Enterprise Observability and Resiliency Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, resilient enterprise architecture solutions with a focus on diverse infrastructure (multi-cloud and on-prem) and applying observability frameworks to facilitate resiliency and operational responsiveness related to critical business applications (e.g. SAP SaaS). This role serves as a technical visionary, a consultant and change agent, guiding and supporting the customer organization through complex digital transformation initiatives while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting and architecture expertise on Observability Operational Models and Strategic Roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological capabilities.
  • Design and lead implementation of blueprints for end-to-end observability infrastructures focused on Application Performance Management (APM), ITOM, and hybrid on-prem and cloud environments (including monitoring, logging, and tracing topologies).
  • Establish architectural roadmaps and iterative execution plans for the customer to implement, adopt, and operationalize improved architecture and observability recommendations that align with objectives and technical performance measures aligned with resiliency
  • Provide leadership, direction and management to customer and Trace3 team members to facilitate alignment and execution of supporting tasks to deliver and realize the architectural vision and desired capabilities
  • Identify and prioritize requirements informed by key stakeholder inputs, objectives, and desired capabilities
  • Facilitate and navigate technical design discussions with cross-functional architects and senior engineers comprised of customer and Trace3 team members; ensure alignment and buy-in along the way
  • Ensure that all architecture and observability solution recommendations will ultimately provide actionable insights into system performance, reliability, and user experience
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into architectural roadmaps and iterative execution plans
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, governance policies, and technical standards
  • Evaluate technologies (emerging and known players), conduct rationalization exercises, and provide recommendations for adoption based on business value and technical feasibility
  • Guide customer and Trace3 team members in implementing architectural patterns and practices
  • Ensure and facilitate connectedness and continuity across other technical and functional areas to ensure awareness and alignment with architecture and solution decisions
  • Mentor junior architects and technical leads on architecture best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise observability architecture (monitoring, event management, business analytics, automation)
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience designing and implementing observability solutions (distributed tracing, metrics, logging)
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale architecture initiatives
  • Proven experience managing senior engineers or architect teams
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), and microservices architectures
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and API management
  • Consulting experience – has driven change as a consultant in a large scale organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in designing technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies and presenting them to the client from proposal to implementation
  • Experience in navigating IT in large enterprises and navigating common ITSM frameworks and tools in that environment
  • Deep understanding of the current state of the art for ITOM
  • Knowledge and familiarity with adjacent technology areas including Platform Engineering, Network, Security, Identity and Access Management
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Background in enterprise data architecture and analytics solutions

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Estimated Pay Range

$125 - $130 USD
