JOB SUMMARY:

From deep foundations in Hybrid IT, Security, Collaboration and Analytics, we support clients across a broad spectrum of industries with IT strategy, planning, implementation and IT operations. Trace3’s Hybrid Services connect and accelerate practical business outcomes across all functions of the organization through our comprehensive practice areas.
The Application Developer job requires building robust software for U.S. federal clients and intelligence agencies. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, the role often involves developing secure, cloud-based, and innovative solutions to support national security missions. Specific requirements and duties vary by project.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Application development: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable software applications for federal government clients.
- Secure solutions: Build applications within secure, restricted environments that adhere to strict government and intelligence community security protocols and regulations.
- Agile collaboration: Work within an Agile or DevSecOps team, collaborating with cross-functional members to create, test, and deploy applications.
- Innovation: Apply emerging technologies, including AI/ML, to solve complex federal client challenges.
- Technical support: Provide Tier 3 production support and maintenance for applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Documentation: Develop clear, effective, and well-documented code.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Active TS/SCI clearance: An active (or active within the past 24 months) Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility is a mandatory requirement.
- Security protocols: Experience working in secure environments with knowledge of federal and intelligence community security standards.
- Strong background in software engineering and application development.
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or others, depending on the project.
- Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot or Angular.
- Expertise with databases and database integration using technologies like Hibernate, MS SQL, or Oracle.
- Cloud experience: Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, particularly in secure government environments.
- Experience in the intelligence community: Prior experience working within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) or for a DoD agency.
- DevSecOps: Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and methodologies for code deployment.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, including cloud certifications.
- Years of Experience: 5+
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred
Estimated Pay Range
$130,000 - $150,000 USD
