JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantum Operations Research & Systems Analyst (ORSA) to provide expert guidance on the design, development, and application of quantum computing technologies across our organizational projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives, advising technical teams on quantum algorithms, error correction methods, and hardware optimization strategies to enhance computational performance. As a Quantum ORSA, you will play a key role in evaluating emerging quantum platforms, assessing feasibility for integration with existing systems, and supporting the development of proof-of-concept models.
We are open to considering candidates at either a Journeyman or Senior level, depending on experience and qualifications.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Advise technical teams on the selection, implementation, and optimization of quantum algorithms for specific applications.
- Conduct research and analysis to evaluate the performance and limitations of various quantum error correction methods.
- Develop and recommend strategies for optimizing quantum hardware architectures to improve computational efficiency.
- Assess the feasibility of integrating quantum computing technologies with existing classical systems and infrastructure.
- Support the development of proof-of-concept models and prototypes to demonstrate the value of quantum solutions.
- Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform quantum computing strategies.
- Develop decision support software, services, or products to enable data-driven decision-making in the quantum domain.
- Develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.
- Prepare and present technical reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with research scientists, engineers, and other technical professionals to advance quantum innovation initiatives.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in quantum computing and related fields.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Journeyman: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Senior: Master's degree or PhD in a related field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering) required.
Experience:
- Journeyman: 3-10 years of experience in operations research, systems analysis, or a related field, with a focus on quantum computing.
- Senior: 10+ years of experience in operations research, systems analysis, or a related field, with significant experience in quantum computing.
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of quantum mechanics and quantum information theory.
- Proficiency in programming frameworks such as Qiskit or Cirq.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with mathematical modeling and optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with quantum machine learning techniques.
- Familiarity with various quantum computing hardware platforms.
- Knowledge of classical computing systems and architectures.
U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions at Trace3 Gov, due to security clearance and government/federal contracts held by Trace3 Gov.
Estimated Pay Range
$135,000 - $165,000 USD
