JOB SUMMARY:
The System Test Operator supports the System Test & Integration group by configuring, operating, and monitoring systems and supporting infrastructure during missile defense ground and flight test events. This role plays a critical part in executing test activities within Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and operational environments while supporting data collection, system integration readiness, and test execution efforts.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support planning and execution of Missile Defense System (MDS) ground and flight tests in which the program participates.
- Configure, operate, and run systems, servers, and supporting components during ground tests in HWIL environments and eventually operational environments.
- Support ground test activities including pairwise tests, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Tests (GTI), Distributed Ground Tests (GTD), cyber tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), and pre-flight HWIL efforts.
- Support flight test execution involving pre-determined sensors and shooters.
- Assist with international test events involving both ground and flight test activities.
- Collect, stage, and manage test data in coordination with the System Test Data Manager.
- Support basic system troubleshooting during test events to ensure continuity of operations.
- Develop familiarity with system architecture, networks, and data flows to support interoperability with other Missile Defense System sensors, shooters, and elements.
- Support system integration activities to ensure systems are successfully integrated prior to test events or operational fielding.
- Collaborate with government customers and internal and external program personnel in a fast-paced test environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to configure, operate, and collect data from servers, NAS devices, and related system components.
- Basic system troubleshooting experience in a test or operational environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness and ability to rapidly expand technical knowledge while supporting a large, complex system.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with system integration activities in test or operational environments.
- Interest in evolving into a System Integrator role supporting integration readiness and execution.
- Interest in supporting System Test Engineering activities including planning and execution of ground and flight tests and development of test artifacts.

SALARY RANGE: $75,000 to $110,000

Estimated Pay Range
$75,000 - $110,000 USD
