Journeyman Electrician

You will construct electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated facilities.
TraC-N-trol is seeking a journeyman electrician to work as a construction electrician and complete projects in central Texas. We are seeking someone who has worked extensively in the industrial or commercial electrical field and, ideally, is familiar with electrical and control systems installations. If not, you will have the opportunity to learn the controls and automation side of the business. You will travel in the central Texas area while enjoying a 4 x 10 schedule with 3-day weekends.
Duties:
- Working as a lead in a hands-on role.
- Maintain work schedules, report logs, and keep daily journals of project activities.
- Hands-on experience in the construction of electrical, instrumentation & control systems (in water and wastewater treatment plants), pumping stations, and associated facilities.
- Run conduit, wiring, hook-up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and wire terminations.
- Install, maintain, test, assess, and fix electrical systems and parts, such as motor control circuits and automation systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and the company electrical superintendent for the completion of projects.
- Plan new or upgrade installations with blueprints and job orders consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Requirements for this position include:
- Professional individuals and high ethical standards
- 10 years of industrial or commercial electrician experience
- Construction and in-ground experience
- Texas-licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
- Weekly travel: typically four ten-hour workdays; overnight stays at the project site; home on Fridays and weekends
- Experience with all types of construction equipment, including trenchers, backhoes, excavators, and lifts.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record with no convictions for DWI/DUI.
- Excellent references, clean background, driving record, and drug test
