Construction Manager

Position Overview
The Construction Manager will lead the planning, design, and development of large-scale civil infrastructure and commercial or industrial land development projects throughout the United States. This role manages project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, permitting, and contractor performance while ensuring projects comply with local and industry standards, regulations, and specifications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing design, engineering, and construction activities for complex infrastructure projects.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Project Planning, Design and Development
- Manage the design and development of projects, including site layout, grading, road design, stormwater management, wet and dry utility layouts, and other related aspects.
- Perform constructability reviews for infrastructure projects recommended during the due diligence phase.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and report against project scope, schedule, budget, change management, and progress.
- Construction Management and Execution
- Work with contractors to develop and implement appropriate quality and safety plans in accordance with local regulations.
- Prepare requests for proposals, review and approve contractor scopes of work, and monitor contractor performance.
- Manage the contract scope, schedule, and budget of design consultants and contractors.
- Oversee bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI and submittal tracking across multiple large construction projects.
- Permitting, Communication and Reporting
- Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction to identify and obtain necessary permits.
- Manage consultants and contractors to ensure permit approvals are secured.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing project findings and recommendations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science.
- Ten or more years of related construction management experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Eight or more years of general contractor and vendor management experience across multiple large construction and project execution initiatives.
- Four or more years of experience managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and utilities.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Strong knowledge of commercial or industrial land development and civil infrastructure construction.
- Experience managing requests for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI and submittal tracking.
- Knowledge of capital budget management.
- Proficient working knowledge of P6, Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, Autodesk, and other construction management software.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and construction practices for major site utility infrastructure, including electrical, water, and fiber.
- Data center construction experience preferred.

Location: Denver, CO Office; Hybrid
Expected Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 Base Salary + Discretionary
