Business Systems Analyst

Denver, Colorado, United States

Tract Capital

Tract is a team of digital infrastructure experts dedicated to accelerating responsible data center growth by developing master-planned data center parks with access to pre-positioned power and fiber in key markets where hyperscale and AI demand is going. Our approach is collaborative with governments, utilities, cities, and regions to ensure development is targeted for the optimal locations to maximize the economic development benefits for the community while being good stewards of the land and minimizing the impact on neighbors.

Position Overview:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you'll work closely with business teams and the Process & Technology team to understand how work gets done and shape the systems that support it. You'll help teams define their needs, translate them into system and process changes, and guide those changes from planning through rollout and adoption. The role blends process analysis, system configuration, project coordination, and user support, making you a key partner in how Tract Capital operates and grows.

This is not primarily a data analysis or reporting role. The focus is on understanding a business problem, designing the right process and system change, and following it through until people are using it successfully.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance to understand goals, workflows, and challenges, and define the problem before proposing a solution
  • Translate findings into clear requirements, business rules, acceptance criteria, and actionable solutions
  • Document current and future processes, including handoffs, controls, and approvals
  • Configure system elements (workflows, approval logic, data fields, forms) or coordinate with technical teams when development is required
  • Plan and coordinate testing, including test scenarios and user acceptance testing, and ensure changes meet business needs before go-live
  • Plan rollout and follow through after launch, tracking open issues, decisions, and dependencies until they are resolved
  • Create reference materials and deliver live or recorded training sessions to support adoption
  • Monitor support requests to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain clean system rules, data structures, and permissions to support stability and scalability

Examples of Projects You Might Support

  • Configuring approval workflows based on project size or spend thresholds
  • Importing structured contract or order data when automation alone isn't sufficient
  • Maintaining milestone dates that drive billing, reporting, or operational handoffs
  • Supporting revenue and billing teams by ensuring systems reflect agreement terms
  • Reviewing user roles and access to balance visibility and security
  • Redesigning the handoff from signed contract to billing across Sales, Finance, and Operations
  • Turning an unclear request into an agreed problem statement, future-state process, and rollout plan

What Makes You Successful Here

  • You listen closely and ask clear, practical questions
  • You can explain processes simply, without adding confusion
  • You're comfortable making decisions with evolving or imperfect information
  • You bring structure to ambiguity and follow through on details until the change is adopted
  • You design solutions that work for the people who will actually use them

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of business analyst or business systems analyst experience implementing process or system changes
  • Experience taking process or system changes from requirements through testing, rollout, and user adoption
  • Experience writing requirements or acceptance criteria that were used to build and test a solution
  • Experience with ERP or CRM platforms (NetSuite preferred; Salesforce a plus)
  • Strong skills in process mapping, workflow documentation, and testing coordination
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence working across Finance, Sales, Operations, and technology teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Telecommunications engineering or operations experience
  • Large, complex program management experience
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt)
  • Familiarity with process architecture, UML, or BPM tools

Expected  Salary Range:  Base Salary range  $90,000 - $115,000 + Annual Bonus
