
Freelance Post Production Manager

The Post Production Manager leads the Assistant Editor (AE) and Input/Output (I/O) team at Trailer Park, ensuring technical accuracy, consistency, and ongoing professional development within the department. This role combines people management with hands-on oversight of workflow quality control, while also scheduling daily priorities for a large team of staff. The Post Production Manager serves as the backbone of the post pipeline — training staff, maintaining standards, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure that projects are properly managed from ingesting materials to creative offline editing, and final finishing and delivery.
What you will do
- Oversee workflow-level QC across all AE outputs to ensure accuracy and technical compliance.
- Develop and maintain standardized AE processes, templates, and documentation.
- Assign AE resources in alignment with priorities established by the Finishing Manager.
- Assign AE resources in alignment with priorities of the AV, Content, and Integrated creative teams.
- Identify skill gaps and create opportunities for AE growth and advancement within the department.
- Interview and onboard additional flex resources as needed to meet workload.
- Collaborate with Post Supervisors and the Finishing Manager to ensure project readiness and smooth transitions into finishing.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and streamline editorial workflows to improve efficiency.
About you
- 5+ years of post-production experience, including 2+ years managing or supervising editorial staff.
- Strong understanding of editorial pipelines, file management, and post-production software (Adobe Premiere, Avid, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve).
- Proven track record of developing junior talent and implementing quality control systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to work long hours with short notice.

COMPENSATION:
Please note that the below range is payable via day rate (not hourly). Also note that all freelance work is paid via W2 payroll at Trailer Park Group.
