Principal Product Manager - Benefits

US - Remote

About this role

As Principal Product Manager for Benefits, you'll shape how millions of people understand, access, and use the benefits their employers provide. Benefits are often the most valuable thing employees receive outside their paycheck, yet they remain confusing, fragmented, and underused. You are here to help change that. Working at the center of our platform, you'll define the strategy for how members discover what's available to them, navigate complex eligibility rules, and connect to the right care at the right moment.

You will lead the product vision and roadmap for our unified benefits experience across medical, pharmacy, and ancillary programs, built on top of our internal platform and servicesYou’ll partner closely with engineering, design, data, and product peers across the organization to deliver featurecompletehighreliability experiences that help people understand their benefits in a way that makes sense to them.

This is a principallevelhighleverage individual contributor role: you’ll be expected to set strategy, drive complex crossorg delivery, mentor other PMs, and be the goto product leader for all things benefits at the organization.

What
you’ll do

  • Define and evolve the product vision for how members discover, understand, and use their benefits.
  • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for member-facing benefits and enrollment features including Member-facing and administrative components
  • Establish a single source of truth for benefit content and configuration, mapping legacy data and behaviors into a unified model with engineering and fellow PMs.
  • Translate executive and client commitments into a sequenced plan with explicit tradeoffs, dependencies, and cut lines, and keep that plan real as priorities shift.
  • Drive accuracy and efficiency in how we gather benefits information from employers, partnering with content management and implementation.
  • Define and instrument success metrics for benefits from task completion on "find what's covered" to OE error rates and digital ID card usage.
  • Partner with client implementation, clinical operations, and support leadership so engineering timelines leave room for training, UAT, and change management before launch.
  • Ship meaningful improvements on a fast, iterative cadence.
  • Represent benefits in executive and cross functional forums with crisp narratives, options, and recommendations.

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including significant time as a Senior or Lead PM owning complex, multiteam products or platforms.
  • Deep familiarity with healthcare benefits and data including eligibility, plans and plan designs, accumulators/deductibles/OOP max, ID cards, coverage rules, and claims data, and how they show up in memberfacing experiences.
  • Proven track record shipping both internal and external product experiences in a B2B2C or enterprise SaaS context with an emphasis on reliability, correctness, and configuration flexibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading crossorgcrossplatform initiatives (spanning multiple apps, services, or interfaces) with hard external dates and real operational consequences.
  • Strong product sense: you can take dense benefit and platform constraints and turn them into flows that feel simple and trustworthy to members.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills — equally effective with engineers, designers, clinical leaders, client teams, and executives.
  • Naturally curious individuals who enjoy discovering how things work and finding ways to improve upon them
  • Humble attitudes and a penchant for solving hard problems
  • Experience in startup environments is a plus!

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
