As a Sr. Sales Engineer at Transcend, you’ll sit at the intersection of product and revenue — helping cement Transcend as the compliance layer for growth. You’ll spend your time teaching, problem-solving, and applying technical expertise alongside sales insight to solve real customer challenges.

 

This is a Remote, Exempt, Full-Time, Permanent position reporting to the Head of Sales Engineering at the Company. Valid work authorization in the United States is required, as this position does not qualify for visa sponsorship.

 

What you'll do

  • Partner with Account Executives to understand customer requirements and recommend solutions in order to remove technical and business-related obstacles during the sales process.
  • Lead the technical aspects of the sales process, including demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, RFPs, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Design compelling product demonstrations and presentations, leveraging your deep understanding of Transcend’s products and industry to showcase the technical features and value.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to communicate customer needs and feedback.
  • Stay informed on customer data compliance requirements, AI infrastructure considerations, and industry trends to bring a knowledgeable perspective to every conversation.
  • Contribute to Transcend’s broader success through knowledge sharing, thorough documentation, and teamwork.

 

Who you are:

  • A passionate professional with 3+ years of sales engineering experience or comparable relevant experience.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, databases, and SaaS technology integration patterns.
  • Understanding of how to build websites and/or mobile apps.
  • Proficiency in demonstrating software and technology solutions.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and explain them to others.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a remote environment.
  • You embody curiosity, a growth mindset and humility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.

Bonus:

  • Experience in Data Privacy or Customer Data Management.
  • Experience delighting enterprise customers.

 

This role is eligible for:

  • Variable Sales Incentive Compensation (for Sales roles): Transcend’s Sales Incentive Plan is designed to reward achievement of sales goals. 
    • On-Target Earnings (“OTE”): Compensation is structured based on an employee’s base salary plus a variable incentive. Incentives are earned based on performance and subject to plan terms. 
    • OTE Projection: When base salary and target incentive are combined, the projected OTE for this role is listed as the pay range below, assuming achievement of 100% of Sales goals.

 

Compensation Information

  • Our comprehensive compensation packages play a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to bringing data rights to everyone. 
  • The compensation pay range represents our reasonable expectation for this role. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, experience, education, skillset, and geographic location.
  • This specific range applies to Tier 1 labor markets like the SF Bay Area and New York City; it may be adjusted based on the labor market in other geographic areas and the individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.

USA Pay Range

$200,000 - $230,000 USD
