Vice President of Marketing

Remote (United States)

Role Overview

Enterprises are racing to activate AI, but they lack the compliant data foundation to do so safely. They need a centralized layer to automate customer data controls across every system and interaction. Transcend is that layer. Our goal is to own the narrative that empowers companies to pursue AI and personalization with confidence. That’s where you come in.

As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be the architect of Transcend’s market position and the driving force behind our growth engine. You will own the entire marketing function—from Product Marketing to Demand Generation. You will partner closely with Sales and Product leadership to build a predictable, scalable revenue machine focused on the Global 2000. We target organizations with high data complexity and aggressive AI roadmaps, selling to a multi-stakeholder buyer that spans CIO, IT, and digital leaders, as well as compliance personas.

This is a leadership role for a strategist who still loves the craft. You will define our category. You will translate deep technical capabilities into compelling C-level value propositions, build a world-class enterprise marketing team, and execute an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategy that captures the attention of the world’s largest companies. For the right leader, this is a career-defining opportunity to build the once-in-a-generation brand that defines the future of the compliance layer for AI.

This is a remote, Exempt, Full-Time position based in the United States. The successful candidate must have valid work authorization, as visa sponsorship is not available. This role reports directly to the President.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the Vision & Category Strategy: Define and own the comprehensive marketing strategy, completing the full transition of Transcend from a privacy tool market leader to a strategic enterprise platform. Craft the narrative that resonates with CIO, Digital, and Compliance economic buyers and executive decision-makers alike. Establish Transcend as the undisputed leader in Compliance Infrastructure.
  • Build & Lead the Marketing Engine: Manage and develop a high-performing marketing organization across Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Content, ABM, and Events. Create a culture of high standards, creativity, and analytical rigor. Mentor emerging leaders and remove blockers to ensure execution excellence.
  • Drive Enterprise Demand & Pipeline: Orchestrate a sophisticated B2B SaaS Go-To-Market strategy. Execute high-value Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns targeting strategic enterprise accounts. Align closely with Sales leadership to ensure marketing pipeline converts to revenue, optimizing CAC, payback period, and sales velocity.
  • Own Product Marketing & Positioning: Translate our deep technical advantages into clear, compelling business value. Oversee competitive intelligence, market strategy, and product launch cadences. Ensure that every piece of collateral—from the website to the sales deck—tells a consistent, winning story.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Strategy: Be an outside leader who, alongside Sales, Product, and Customer Success peers, shapes company strategy, drives top-line execution, builds tight feedback loops, and inspires deep alignment across the company.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years in B2B SaaS Marketing Leadership, with senior leadership responsibility in high-growth SaaS environments.
  • Strategic Enterprise Experience: A proven track record of marketing infrastructure to the Fortune 500. You understand how to navigate enterprise sales cycles, technical stakeholders, and buying committees.
  • Category Creation/Definition: Experience in defining a market and category. You have successfully positioned an enterprise product as a strategic business imperative.
  • People Management: History of hiring, developing, and leading high-performing marketing teams across multiple marketing disciplines.
  • Pipeline Accountability: You have owned a revenue number. You thrive leading attribution models, funnel metrics, and accountability for pipeline contribution.

Domain Knowledge

  • Enterprise GTM: Deep understanding of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) methodologies and how to align marketing with enterprise sales teams.
  • Technical Product Marketing: Ability to grasp complex technical concepts across APIs, adtech, telemetry, and data architecture, and distill them into clear value propositions.
  • Marketing Tech Stack: Proficiency with the modern B2B stack (Salesforce, Clay, DemandBase, etc.).
  • Partner Marketing: Deep understanding of activating marketing via a robust network of complementary technologies, system integrators, and other key partners.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strategic Storyteller: You love to write the manifesto and the pitch. You use narrative to shape a future outcome.
  • Data-Driven Strategist: You prioritize based on evidence, measure what matters, and pivot based on data.
  • Player-Coach: You are willing to write a copy line or improve a workflow when necessary, while also leading the department.
  • Executive Presence: You hold your own in a boardroom and build trust with peer executives.
  • Customer-Centric: You approach marketing through the lens of solving customer problems, not just selling features.

Preferred:

  • Experience at a high-growth, venture-backed B2B SaaS company.
  • Experience marketing to the CIO, Heads of Digital, and the broader C-Suite.
  • Understanding of the current AI landscape and the data governance challenges and opportunities it presents.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
