The Opportunity

This VP role is unique: while it holds strategic ownership over commercial growth, your initial 12 months will be 80%+ focused on building and leading sales as our founding Head of B2B Sales. Your primary mission is to be a "player-coach" who will personally hunt and close our first deals while simultaneously designing our entire sales playbook.

You will operate as the "CEO of our B2B go-to-market." You will have full accountability for B2B revenue, customer acquisition, and commercial strategy, with direct influence over product roadmap and go-to-market investment. You will report directly to the Co-Founder & CEO and have the full backing of the company to build and scale TransferGo Business sales from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

This role blends hands-on sales with strategic leadership.

  • Be the #1 Seller (The "Player-Coach"): In your first 6-12 months, this is 80%+ hands-on selling. You will personally lead B2B sales, building the pipeline, "hunting" high-value accounts, and closing the first major deals yourself.
  • Build the B2B Sales Engine:
    • Outbound Sales Motion: Develop our outbound prospecting strategy - define our ICP, build target account lists, design multi-channel campaigns (cold calling, email sequences, LinkedIn), and personally execute the first 100+ outbound touches to validate messaging and close initial deals.
    • Sales Playbook & Infrastructure: Create repeatable sales processes, qualification frameworks, and demo methodologies. Implement our sales toolkit (sales ops, forecasting, pipeline management) and design scalable compensation plans.
    • Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance B2B sales team (SDRs, Account Executives, Account Managers).
    • Pricing & Packaging: Partner with Product to define pricing strategies and package offerings that maximize revenue and customer value.
  • Own the Commercial Outcome: Be fully accountable for the B2B unit's revenue targets, customer acquisition KPIs, and commercial growth metrics.
  • Be the Cross-Functional Partner: Act as the critical bridge and primary commercial partner to our Product and Engineering leaders. You will be the "voice of the business customer," providing data-driven customer feedback to shape the product roadmap and unlock larger deals.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships: Leverage your senior network and book of business to build a pipeline of strategic partners, channels, and anchor clients.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven B2B Sales Leader: 8-10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a significant portion in a high-growth environment.
  • "Closer" & "Hunter" Mindset: You are a high-energy leader who thrives on the hunt, is excited to be the primary seller, and leads by example.
  • Strong Industry Network: You have established relationships with decision-makers at SMB and mid-market companies (CFOs, finance/treasury leaders, founders) and potential strategic partners in payments, fintech, or B2B services.
  • Entrepreneurial "Doer" Mentality: You are high-agency, data-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity, high-speed execution, and high expectations—not someone looking for a comfortable management role.
  • Builder: You have proven experience building outbound sales engines (playbooks, teams, processes), ideally as a founding commercial hire. You're not just a manager - you're a builder who thrives on cold calling, multi-touch campaigns, and pipeline generation in competitive B2B markets.
