Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist to join a collaborative clinical team within the VA Health Care System. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services across:
    • Operating Room (OR)
    • GI Suite
    • Cardiac Catheterization Lab
    • Interventional Radiology
  • Manage a wide range of complex cases, including:
    • Cardiothoracic (primary focus)
    • Vascular and thoracic procedures
    • Orthopedic and neurosurgical cases
    • ENT and ophthalmologic procedures
    • General surgery
  • Deliver comprehensive perioperative care:
    • Pre-operative assessments
    • Intraoperative anesthesia management
    • Post-anesthesia recovery oversight
  • Support:
    • ICU patient management
    • Pain management services
    • Emergency airway interventions
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary care teams

Qualifications

  • Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology
  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based experience
  • Required: Cardiothoracic anesthesia experience
  • Must meet all VA credentialing and privileging requirements
