Build the Future of Transportation Equipment Leasing

Transportation Equipment Network (TEN) is one of North America's largest full-service trailer leasing, rental, maintenance, and fleet management providers. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Project Manager to join our newly established Project Management Office (PMO).

This is more than a traditional project coordination role. We are seeking a strategic thinker and execution-focused leader who can independently manage complex cross-functional initiatives, align stakeholders, and drive meaningful business outcomes across the organization.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is energized by helping build structure, process, and scalability within a growing organization.

What You'll Do

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation through closeout for a portfolio of high-impact cross-functional initiatives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate work across departments while managing dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Proactively identify obstacles and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, senior leaders, department heads, and external partners.
  • Facilitate meetings, drive decision-making, and ensure accountability for project deliverables.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Build strong relationships and influence outcomes without direct reporting authority.

Risk, Budget & Resource Management

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate issues with clear analysis and recommended solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure external partners meet expectations.
  • Drive cost efficiencies without sacrificing quality or timelines.

PMO Development & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to the design and development of PMO methodologies, standards, tools, and reporting frameworks.
  • Establish repeatable project management processes that support organizational growth.
  • Conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support change management activities associated with project implementation.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management, business operations, or related experience.
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or evolving business challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management, equipment leasing, or another operationally complex environment.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, transformation, or process improvement initiatives.

Leadership Expectations

Successful candidates will:

  • Take ownership and drive results without waiting for direction.
  • Hold teams accountable through collaboration, persistence, and constructive escalation.
  • Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Remain calm, organized, and solutions-oriented under pressure.
  • Embrace change and help build scalable processes that support company growth.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primary work location is Dublin, Ohio.
  • Occasional travel to TEN branch locations may be required.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to participate in meetings, presentations, and occasional site visits as needed.

Why Join TEN?

At TEN, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact on a growing organization. This role offers a unique chance to help build our PMO from the ground up while partnering with senior leaders across the business to deliver initiatives that directly influence our future success.

If you're a builder, problem-solver, and project management professional who enjoys turning strategy into execution, we'd love to hear from you.
