The Country Director, Bermuda supports the Head of Advisor Services and will be our Travel Edge representative in Bermuda. The Country Director will be responsible for fostering growth of the business, and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders, including government partners, corporate entities and tourism boards. Responsibilities will also include contract management, reporting and negotiations. The Country Director will oversee our branch operations and will improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability while delivering the highest standards of customer service and ensuring customer and advisor retention/expansion.   This role requires a dynamic leader who is capable of navigating both operational challenges and strategic opportunities in order to drive the business forward in the local market.

Responsibilities:
•    Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners to meet and exceed team goals, including government partners, tourism boards, and corporate accounts.
•    Drive business development initiatives, focusing on growth opportunities and onboarding new Independent Contractors (ICs), as well as maintaining and expanding existing client and partner relationships.
•    Manage contracts, oversee reporting processes, and lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and foster sustainable partnerships.
•    Inspire and lead a team to exceed their goals on a daily basis. Operationally responsible for ensuring the team is properly staffed and they have the skills, techniques, tools, and processes in place to exceed customer expectations.
•    Develop the team by giving specific and timely feedback; set high standards for individual and team performance; and provide effective training that enhances employees' skills.
•    Become skilled at and work with our operational systems, processes, and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.
•    Contribute towards the achievement of the Travel Edge’s strategic and operational objectives.
•    Examine financial data/statements and utilize them to improve profitability.
•    Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.
•    Participate in recruitment, guidance, and training of new Independent Contractors.
•    Serve as an escalation point of contact in matters where additional customer service or intervention is required.
•    Actively coordinate and deliver team meetings with the team, Head of Advisor Services and arrange supplier meetings/trainings.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    10+ years of travel industry experience.
•    3-5 years of proven experience in an Operational leader capacity, preferably in Leisure Travel.
•    Solid analytical, finance, and problem-solving abilities.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
•    Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).
•    Demonstrated leadership abilities coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
•    Computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new systems. Experience with Sabre and ClientBase an asset.
•    Strong knowledge/relationships with Air/hotel/cruise/Tour suppliers.
•    Experience with “new-to-industry” ICs (Independent Contractors) and/or onboarding/transitioning experienced ICs.
•    Post-secondary education in a related field, an asset.
