
Product Manager Flights - Direct
Are you a pro-active product owner/manager looking for a new challenge in a fast moving, exciting industry? Do you enjoy collaborating with talented engineers, designers, data specialists and product colleagues? We are looking for someone to join our product team who can manage agile sprint planning with tech teams and has experience with page optimization and A/B testing for our search results page, with a focus on direct traffic. We are looking for someone who can collaborate on building business cases, and work on both short and long term vision for this page.
Job Purpose
Ownership of search result page conversion, both from a UX and API perspective. Ability to collaborate with various teams to drive conversion - design, commercial, pricing, data - we are looking for someone to pull in the requirements and prioritise based on business value and long term company strategies. This is a hybrid Product Manager/Product Owner role which requires both ‘hands on’ sprint planning as well as strategic thinking (approx 30% PO and 70% PM).
- Formulate a product strategy with a roadmap that outlines direction of Search Result Page for both desktop and mobile, with a mobile first approach
- Solid experience of data tools eg Google Analytics and Looker and can use data to find customer pain points and areas of improvement
- Work with stakeholders and teams such as commerce, air team, pricing, Trip teams to ensure best content & pricing for direct traffic
- Optimize the search result page for enhanced user engagement and click-through to checkout.
- Formulate and execute strategies to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of flight content on the search result page, ensuring a compelling and user-friendly presentation, assisting the customer to select the right content.
- Have a solid A/B testing backlog for enhancing the core KPI’s for SRP to click through to check out
- Introduce innovative features based on research insights to deliver relevant and personalized content.
- Refine sorting algorithms to present personalized and relevant flight content
Core tasks and responsibilities
- Evaluate the customer journey to identify opportunities to encourage the customer to search flight content and click-through to checkout.
- Develop and conduct A/B tests and experiments to validate and iteratively improve features to drive conversion and improve the customer experience.
- Monitor customer interaction and feedback to continuously optimize
- Creates and actively nurtures product backlog together with the teams of software engineers & stakeholders
- Creates product backlog for other development teams if cross functional
- Follows usage, adoption and performance of products
- Closely collaborate with business owners, other Product Owners and development teams
- Coordinate dependencies with other teams
- Generate new ideas that will achieve key objectives for the product line and business.
- Validate if stories meet acceptance criteria and comply with the Definition of Done
- Stay informed about the competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
What you bring to the table

- Must have sales e-commerce experience with a proven track record of increasing E-CVR

- Some background in travel product - eg either OTA, GDS, airline, TMC
