We are looking for an E-commerce Intern to join our team for a 6-month internship. You’ll be a great fit if you’re curious, eager to learn (a lot), and enjoy being challenged. With strong communication skills and a hands-on mindset, you’ll thrive in our fast-paced environment. This internship is an excellent opportunity for those who want to dive into the travel industry while building expertise in e-commerce and digital growth.
What you’ll work on
As an E-commerce Intern at Travix, you’ll be part of the engine that shapes how travelers discover and book their journeys online. This is not just about tasks, but about gaining real-world exposure to the travel industry and the dynamics of digital growth. You will:
- Contribute to website optimization, learning how data-driven insights can transform the customer journey and boost conversion.
- Support content management and strategy, ensuring consistency across our website and marketing channels in collaboration with the Brand Marketing team while taking ownership of the content calendar.
- Work alongside the Partnerships team, experiencing how we collaborate with airlines, tourism boards, and global partners to inspire travelers and unlock growth opportunities.
- Dive into performance tracking and reporting, turning numbers into stories that guide decision-making.
- Bring in your creativity and curiosity by contributing fresh ideas and helping shape the way millions of people experience travel online.
- Keep an eye on AI trends and explore ways to optimize our workstreams by leveraging new technology.
What you’ll bring in
To thrive in this role, you bring curiosity, energy, and a willingness to learn. You don’t need years of experience, but you should be ready to take ownership and grow fast. We’re looking for:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, hands-on mindset with the confidence to take initiative.
- Analytical thinking — you enjoy working with data and spotting patterns.
- Creativity and an eye for detail, especially when it comes to content and customer experience.
- Interest in E-commerce and the travel industry, with motivation to learn how global online businesses grow.
- Familiarity with tools like Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides; experience with CMS or analytics tools is a plus.
- Curiosity about AI and new technologies, and an eagerness to explore how they can improve processes.
- Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master study program for the full-period of the internship and available to travel 2/3 times a week to our office in Bijlmer.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch or German is a strong plus.
