Data Analyst — Analytics & AI Enablement

Job Purpose

The Data Analyst works in a multi-functional data & analytics team responsible for driving initiatives to improve the use of data and automated processes to reduce manual workload for different business teams at Travix. 

In this role as a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in implementing, improving, and maintaining BI platform across Travix. This includes partnering and consulting with business and engineering teams to provide guidance and assistance in creating and streamlining reports and underlying ETL pipelines. As part of the BI team, you’ll help develop and lead training and services to communicate best practices, and provide direct consultative assistance. Your expertise and enthusiasm will inspire people across Travix to use data to gain crucial insights & intelligence and proactively explore the potential of AI/LLM tools to enhance data analysis workflow.

Core tasks and responsibilities

• Partner with business users, data engineers, product analysts, and others to understand their needs and come up with an end-to-end solution 
• Support business initiatives of utilizing AI in data analysis and generate new ideas to boost AI adoption in Travix 
• Translate business requirements to actionable data tasks (English <-> SQL)
• Provide troubleshooting in case maintenance issues are discovered, build contracts for the same
• Closely collaborate with the Data Engineering team in designing and developing scalable data pipelines 
• Become a subject matter expert on BI, both as a development platform and visualization tool
• Build monitoring tools and reports to provide analytical insight for business teams

 

What you bring to the table

Education

• Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Econometrics, or another relevant study or equivalent practical experience

Experience

• 3+ years working as Data or BI Analyst
• Strong business intuition and ability to understand complex business systems
• Strong technical accomplishments in SQL and data analysis skills
• Expertise in visualization technologies using modern BI tools
• Advanced ability to leverage LLMs for SQL generation, Python scripting, and data summarization
• A solid foundation on data modeling concepts

• Experience identifying and pitching AI-driven projects

• Ability to communicate data-heavy insights & recommendations in a simple story

Bonus points:

• Mentoring/training/consulting experience
• Experience with Python for data manipulation, scripting, and leveraging LLM APIs
• Familiarity with structuring and writing ETLs
