Manager, Partnerships, Community, & Events

Remote / Hybrid

Posting Closing Date: August 6, 2026.

Vacancy status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Team Rubicon Canada (TR Canada) is a veteran-led humanitarian organization, built to serve communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Our people, known as Greyshirts, are the cornerstone of our mission and success. We are committed to fostering an environment that embodies the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B)—inclusive of beliefs, cultural backgrounds, job experiences, thoughts, and ideas—across all aspects of our operations.

We are seeking a Manager, Partnerships, Community and Events who can build relationships, create meaningful partner experiences, and turn community engagement into sustainable support for our mission. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will lead corporate partnership development and stewardship, Corporate Service Days, sponsorship initiatives, and TR Canada-hosted events. You will also support community and third-party fundraising activities that expand our national reach, strengthen donor engagement, and generate revenue.

This role sits at the intersection of fundraising, relationship management, events, and mission delivery. You will work closely with corporate partners, community supporters, Greyshirts, and colleagues across the organization to create experiences that connect people directly to TR Canada’s work.

The right person is a self-starter, strategic relationship-builder, and disciplined operator. You know how to move from a promising conversation to a lasting partnership—and from an event concept to a well-executed experience that delivers measurable results. Our culture requires individuals foolish enough to think they can change the world and competent enough to have a chance. Every day is a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities. This position can be hybrid or remote with some travel required.

Duties

  • Develop and execute a corporate partnership strategy that generates unrestricted revenue, sponsorships, in-kind support, and long-term organizational relationships.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners through disciplined prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, recognition, stewardship, and renewal.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of Corporate Service Days, creating meaningful experiences that connect corporate partners and their employees to TR Canada’s mission.
  • Develop sponsorship packages, partnership proposals, activation plans, and tailored engagement opportunities aligned with partner objectives and TR Canada’s priorities.
  • Lead or support the planning, execution, and evaluation of national fundraising events, community events, conferences, and other TR Canada-hosted activities.
  • Manage event logistics, schedules, budgets, procurement, vendors, risk considerations, and internal coordination to ensure events are delivered safely, professionally, and within approved parameters.
  • Recruit, brief, coordinate, and support Greyshirts participating in fundraising, community, and partner events.
  • Track partnership and event activity in the organization’s customer relationship management system, maintaining accurate records, revenue projections, engagement histories, and follow-up actions.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with Development, Communications, Finance, Field Operations, and People and Culture teams to ensure partnership and event activities are coordinated, mission-aligned, and operationally achievable.
  • Represent TR Canada at partner meetings, conferences, community events, and other external engagements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, non-profit management, event management, communications, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive designation is an asset.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in corporate partnerships, fundraising, sponsorship, community engagement, or non-profit event management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and stewarding corporate partnerships that generate revenue, sponsorship, in-kind support, or employee engagement.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and evaluate fundraising or community events involving multiple stakeholders, volunteers, and internal teams.
  • Experience managing a donor or partner portfolio, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, renewal, and relationship documentation.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience developing event budgets, monitoring revenue and expenses, and working toward annual revenue targets.
  • Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to translate objectives into clear workplans, milestones, responsibilities, and contingency plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, listen carefully, present persuasively, and adapt messages for corporate, community, donor, and internal audiences.
  • Ability to balance the needs and expectations of partners, donors, Greyshirts, communities, and internal stakeholders while protecting TR Canada’s mission, reputation, and operational requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to guide and motivate Greyshirts, event participants, partners, and cross-functional project teams.
  • High attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality, accuracy, follow-through, and professional execution.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management systems, online fundraising platforms, project management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Bloomerang, Fundraise Up, and Asana is an asset.
  • Experience working with veteran, first responder, humanitarian, or disaster response communities is an asset.
  • Authentic passion for service and a demonstrated commitment to trust, respect, professional competence, adaptability, and leadership.
  • Passion for the mission and values of Team Rubicon Canada.
