Hybrid / Remote

Posting Closing Date: 13 September 2026

Team Rubicon Canada (TR Canada) is a veteran-led humanitarian organization, built to serve communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Our people, known as Greyshirts, are the cornerstone of our mission and success. We are committed to fostering an environment that embodies the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B)—inclusive of beliefs, cultural backgrounds, job experiences, thoughts, and ideas—across all aspects of our operations.

We are seeking a Manager, Operations Support who can keep people, equipment, supplies, and assets moving when the pace is high and the margin for error is low. Reporting to the Director, Field Operations, you will lead the logistics systems and day-to-day support that keep operations, training, and other program activities ready to move. You will oversee national caches and assets, coordinate procurement and vendors, manage assigned budgets, and lead staff and Greyshirts serving in logistical roles.

The right person is a self-starter and team player with strong judgement, sharp communication skills, and the ability to build trust across staff, Greyshirts, volunteer leaders, and operational teams. Our culture requires individuals foolish enough to think they can change the world and competent enough to have a chance. Every day is a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities. This position can be hybrid or remote with some travel required.

Duties

  • Develop and execute logistics support plans for disaster response operations, training, and other program activities.
  • Mobilize people, equipment, supplies, and resources to ensure timely and effective operational support.
  • Oversee nationwide caches, fleet, and non-IT serialized equipment, ensuring assets are accurately tracked, maintained, serviceable, and ready for use.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement activities, assigned budgets, and logistics expenditures in accordance with TR Canada’s delegation of authority and financial controls.
  • Lead, develop, and support the Sr. Associate, Ops Support and Greyshirts serving in logistical roles nationwide.
  • Work across Field Operations, Capability Development, Field Leadership & Training, and Greyshirt Experience to strengthen logistics capability, including technical content and subject matter expertise for training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, operations support, or a related field; experience leading staff or volunteers is an asset.
  • Professional certification in supply chain or logistics management (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CLTD) is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute logistics support in dynamic, time-sensitive environments.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain calm, clear, and professional in high-stress situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and coordinate staff and volunteers, including distributed or remote teams.
  • Sound judgement in procurement, resource allocation, and financial stewardship within established authorities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams, with the ability to learn and adopt new technology; experience with Asana is an asset.
  • Passion for the mission and values of Team Rubicon Canada.
