Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer

Remote US / Remote Canada

About Treasury Prime

Treasury Prime builds APIs that give developers a direct connection to the banking system, making it easy to embed a full range of banking services, from bank accounts to custom debit cards, payments, and more, into their applications.

We're replacing the decades-old mainframe software that has hamstrung banks, making it difficult or impossible for fintech developers to build great products. Treasury Prime is the best way for banks to modernize their software stack and for fintech developers to find the best bank partner and get to market fast. Currently, we are using Clojure, React/Remix on the front end, Postgres database, and hosted on AWS & Vercel. We understand that many technologies are translatable; more importantly, we want passionate developers with a zest for knowledge and innovation!

Position Overview

We're looking for a Staff-Level Full Stack Software Engineer who can play a key technical leadership role in developing the UX our bank and fintech customers use daily. This is a frontend-heavy role (React-first), where you’ll help shape architecture, mentor engineers, and set technical direction for scalable, performant web applications. Your work will be the first thing new users see, and the essential tool bankers and developers rely on daily to know exactly what's happening with their money and customers.

You will:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our web user interfaces, ensuring high performance and scalability
  • Shape and drive high-leverage frontend engineering projects, from technical vision and architecture guidance through execution
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to launch features that directly impact our customers
  • Mentor and coach other engineers, raising the bar for technical quality and helping them grow in their careers

You may be a good fit for this role if you:

  • Have 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years operating at staff-level or above
  • Deep expertise in React (and ideally modern frameworks such as Next.js or Remix)
  • Have solid experience collaborating on UX and design to deliver highly usable products
  • Set exceptionally high technical standards, ensuring performance, maintainability, and scalability in your code
  • Have a passion for emerging technologies such as generative AI and blockchain
  • Can communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, designers, and non-technical stakeholders
  • Thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and are excited to create new things
  • Bring broad backend exposure (SQL, APIs, distributed systems, Docker, databases) to complement your frontend expertise

While these are not hard requirements for the job, the best candidates will meet many of these criteria.

We look forward to hearing from you!

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
