Senior DevOps Engineer

San Francisco, California

Treasury Prime builds the infrastructure that connects banks and fintechs. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll own infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments, including our San Francisco data center, plus the systems that keep it running and the data pipelines behind our internal operations. You'll work alongside our existing DevOps and Data Engineers and partner closely with software engineering and product.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You'll make architecture calls, write and review infrastructure code, take part in 24/7 on-call, and stay close to production. You'll also help set technical direction for our infrastructure and raise the bar for how the team builds and operates it. Must be willing to commute to the San Francisco data center.

We're an AI-forward company. We use AI across our work and keep experimenting as the tools change, and we're looking for curious, self-motivated learners who want to do the same in infrastructure.

You will:

  • Design, build, and operate infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments: networking, infrastructure-as-code, containers, and cost management
  • Run and improve our San Francisco data center, including hands-on hardware work when it's needed
  • Own deployment pipelines and automation so engineers can ship safely and often
  • Set monitoring standards for logging, metrics, and alerting
  • Define service levels and run incident response, from first page to postmortem
  • Take part in the 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and data warehouses for internal analytics, reporting, and compliance
  • Keep infrastructure in line with SOC 2 and PCI requirements, for example audit logging, data residency, and access controls
  • Remove single points of failure by documenting systems, automating runbooks, and spreading knowledge so nothing depends on one person
  • Partner with software engineering and product: raise constraints early, align on priorities, and keep delivery moving
  • Mentor other engineers through design reviews, pairing, and code review

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 6 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, owning production infrastructure at scale
  • Hands-on experience running physical infrastructure in a data center: racking, cabling, hardware replacement, and network setup
  • Deep, practical experience with CI/CD, cloud services, infrastructure-as-code, containers, and monitoring
  • Owned reliability in production: on-call, incident response, and SLOs
  • Familiarity with compliance programs (SOC 2, PCI) and their operational requirements
  • A record of infrastructure decisions you can walk through: what you chose, what you traded off, and how it held up
  • Clear written communication: design docs, runbooks, and postmortems other people use
  • Curiosity about AI and a habit of learning on your own: you try new tools, figure out where they help in infrastructure work, and know where they don't belong in production
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, close enough to be on site at our data center when needed

Bonus skills and experience (optional)

  • Network engineering and DNS administration
  • Hands-on experience with penetration testing, security scans, and security issue management
  • Building data pipelines and data warehouses alongside infrastructure
  • Experience in regulated industries such as banking, payments, or financial services

We look forward to hearing from you!
