This role is a contract position for 3-6 months with a target start date of November 10, 2025 with a likely end date mid-March 2026.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented PeopleOps Generalist to join our team at Trella Health. Reporting to the VP, People & Talent, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees and contributing to a positive and engaging workplace culture. You’ll own a range of administrative and operational responsibilities that ensure smooth employee experiences and scalable People processes as we grow. Your involvement across the employee lifecycle will have an emphasis on managing our onboarding and offboarding journeys, system administration, reporting and analysis, benefits and payroll support, audits and compliance, and employee engagement programs. Location: Atlanta, GA (minimum of 1x/week in office at Atlanta Tech Village in Buckhead)
Reports to: VP, People & Talent
As the PeopleOps Generalist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Own and optimize core HR operations from onboarding to offboarding, a positive, trusting, inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and data privacy standards.
- Serve as the primary HRIS admin for core systems (e.g., ADP, Lattice, etc.) and leverage system capabilities and automated workflows to generate reports, streamline administrative processes, etc..
- Ensure handbooks, policies, org charts, and internal processes are up-to-date, compliant, and clearly communicated. Manage internal knowledge base to ensure it’s a resource for all employees and managers.
- Be the internal liaison on benefits and payroll in partnership with our PEO and Finance team: clearly communicate benefit offerings, share enrollment resources, prepare payroll inputs/exceptions, and troubleshoot issues.
- Design, implement, and maintain people-centric programs and engagement opportunities that boost retention, morale, and employee growth.
- Be a trusted resource for employees and managers by being available to answer questions, offer guidance, listen, and mitigate employee relations issues.
- Gather and act on employee feedback via surveys, check-ins, and onboarding/offboarding meetings. Analyze people metrics to guide decision-making and highlight areas for improvement.
- Support our performance review cycles, partnering with managers to ensure the process is timely, fair, and growth focused.
- Support internal communications, company events, and employer branding initiatives around culture, values, and change initiatives to ensure clarity and transparency.
- Assist Recruiting Manager with ATS maintenance, interview scheduling, and recruitment coordination as needed with willingness to handle full-cycle recruiting during high volume hiring periods.
- Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, IT, and department managers to support operational practices and other initiatives.
- Be willing to jump in on ad-hoc projects, research workforce trends and best practices, and help with ongoing improvements.
This job might be a fit for you if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in People Operations/HR, with a strong foundation in common HR practices, preferably within the software/technology industry.
- Hands-on experience in a variety of HR administrative duties and company-wide people programs such as onboarding and offboarding, engagement programs and events, reward and recognition programs, performance management cycles, payroll and benefits processes, audits and compliance, and others.
- Familiarity with various HR platforms (ADP Workforce Now, Lattice, and Greenhouse preferred) and O365 tools.
- Ability to provide comprehensive support to employees and the management team across a range of HR functions and initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a people-centric mindset and a high degree of professionalism, discretion, responsiveness, and follow-up.
- High degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with strong execution, often switching from strategic projects and day-to-day tasks.
- Experience with HR reporting with the ability to analyze data to support decision-making and recommendations.
- Curiosity and adaptability in adopting AI-driven workflows while championing the integration of AI practices across the workforce with ethical and human-centered practices.
- Problem-solving and resourceful mindset with the ability to utilize critical thinking and creative skills in independent and department or cross-functional collaborative settings.
- Strong desire for continuous learning and operational improvements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ever-evolving startup environment and openness to change.
This role is not eligible for benefits, equity, or bonus incentive given the nature of the contract position.
