Litigation Associate Attorney (Products Liability / Transportation)
Role Description
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 4+ years of litigation experience to join our Aviation and Transportation Practice Group in our Chicago office at Willis Tower.
This role is ideal for a strong litigator with experience in products liability, transportation, or insurance defense litigation, who is interested in building a specialized practice in aviation and high-exposure matters.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
- Represent clients in aviation, transportation, and products liability matters involving personal injury, property damage, and commercial disputes
- Advise clients on regulatory, operational, and risk-related aviation issues, including familiarity with FAA regulations (or a willingness to learn)
- Draft and negotiate complex contracts for aviation-related transactions
- Participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and mediations (travel as required)
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of civil litigation experience and an active Illinois bar license
- Background in products liability, transportation, or insurance defense
- Aviation or transportation experience, or a demonstrated interest, is a plus
- Some coverage experience preferred but not required
- Exceptional writing, analytical, and verbal communications skills
- Interest in developing a specialized practice within a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of their work

Salary commensurate with experience:
$125,000 - $150,000 USD
