Technology Director

Tribal is a creative force that blends strategy, design, and technology, and we are on the hunt for a visionary and experienced Technology Director who is equal parts strategist, leader, and innovator to guide our London-based team! As Technology Director, you’ll shape the future of digital experiences across a diverse portfolio—from cutting-edge platforms to AI-driven solutions—bringing technical excellence, operational oversight, and thought leadership to every initiative you lead.

In this role, you’ll partner with creative and strategic minds across disciplines while also leading and mentoring a growing team of developers. You’ll be a champion of innovation, helping to define and evolve our technology offerings, and you’ll interface with clients and third-party partners to deliver robust, scalable solutions. From Adobe Experience Cloud to AWS and a range of full-stack technologies, your expertise will drive the success of both our projects and our people.

You will:

  • Lead and grow the Tribal group of accounts and oversee development teams
  • Be at the forefront and a contributing leader to our AI and innovation initiatives 
  • Provide technical strategy and leadership within the team and to our clients
  • Partner with cross-disciplinary skillsets to elevate the digital experiences we deliver
  • Support organic and new business growth
  • Bring unique expertise to Tribal and leverage others’ expertise from across the org to drive innovation
  • Oversee multiple projects and programs across technology platforms and establish efficient processes and procedures for improvement
  • Work closely with client IT teams and 3rd parties
  • Directly mentor Technology Leads, and indirectly guide the careers of their direct reports

You have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Expertise that enhances Tribals’ ability to deliver experiences across the digital ecosystem
  • Understanding of programming and architecture of large-scale projects
  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud solutions
  • Previous hands-on experience with infrastructure, ideally AWS, and full-stack technologies
  • Strong REST API knowledge
  • Experience with Spring Boot and Java, ReactJS and Python
  • Managed multiple concurrent clients and projects alongside new business pursuits
  • Worked as part of a globally distributed team
  • Experience working across multiple industries such as public sector, higher education, healthcare, and financial services
