Summer Internship Overview

The Rosenthal family has long been an advocate of education, innovation and technology. The Rosenthal Meat Science and Technology Center at Texas A&M is named for Manny Rosenthal, class of '42, whose father founded Standard Meat.  Today, our summer internship program offers the experience of working in our processing facilities located in Dallas, Fort Worth, Saginaw, and Ponder.  Areas of focus are Production, Operations and Supply Chain; Research and Development; and Food Safety and Quality Assurance.  Interns will work daily in the facilities to understand process flow and production capabilities, build a deeper understanding of the food industry, and participate in meaningful projects and tasks essential to the short and long-term success of the company.  Candidates will have the opportunity to interact with upper management, outside vendors and customers.

We are looking for motivated self-starters who have the ability to work independently.  Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills are critical, as well as strong interpersonal skills.  Our interview process is rigorous, yet we hope it will be enjoyable for candidates who are enthusiastic about building a career in the meat industry.
