Viator is seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager, Compliance with a background in compliance to manage and drive compliance and regulatory projects across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, legal, finance, customer service and operations, to ensure that all technology solutions for Viator’s point of sale comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Your role will be pivotal in identifying compliance risks, implementing solutions, and maintaining documentation to support our compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage compliance programs and projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal, engineering, product management, and other teams to interpret and implement compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices, primarily in NORAM and EMEA
  • Conduct regular compliance assessments, audits, and risk analyses to identify potential compliance issues and areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports, to support compliance efforts and audits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
  • Proactive communication and guidance to teams on compliance-related topics, best practices and effects on the business.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory environments and update compliance programs accordingly.
  • Support legal as needed with coordinating with third-party auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance audits with reviews and investigations.
  • Track and report on compliance program metrics and performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in program management, with a focus on compliance in the technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements in the technology industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex compliance requirements to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent ability to lead by influence
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with compliance tools and software is an advantage.
