Ensuring the integrity and quality of the Tripadvisor’s location data is job #1 for the Trust & Safety - Places Team. We manage the backbone of Tripadvisor’s travel content: our ever-growing database of accommodations, attractions, restaurants and geographic locations.  We are seeking a Lead Content Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills and policy knowledge to develop actionable insights that optimize the quality of our Places dataset and scalability of our processes.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop a comprehensive technical understanding of Places processing, request routing and filtration.

  • Act as an expert in Places and geo policies

  • Lead moderation projects focused on advancing the accuracy and eligibility of Places data.

  • Manage end to end execution of various quality assurance projects leveraging results to identify opportunities, gaps and to drive decision making

  • Participate in quality audits

  • Leverage data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in Places content and processes.

  • Use database querying and data analysis skills to track and report on key metrics and analyze content trends 

  • Identify, analyze, and communicate the impact of bugs and other improvements

  • Implement innovative moderation techniques and tools to improve the reliability of Places information.

  • Drive execution of projects and product ideas to increase the efficiency of tools, enhance automation, and improve quality using relevant metrics

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Places data moderation, leveraging proprietary platforms and data analysis tools.

  • Contribute to key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and automation

Produce detailed reports on moderation activities and outcomes related to Places data.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • 2-4 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and develop creative solutions.
  • Effective communication skills and a talent for collaboration across a global team 
  • A passion for innovation with the ability to proactively drive projects both individually and with your colleagues
  • Flexibility and adaptability particularly in a changing, fast-paced, and often ambiguous work environment
  • Results-oriented with ability to use feedback and metrics to improve future performance
  • Strong execution skills with a focus on speed and efficiency of results
  • A deep understanding of KPIs and how they’re used to improve team performance
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or data analysis tools is a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets a plus
  • University degree or equivalent experience required
  • Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
