Senior Key Account Executive

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our Mid Market Key Accounts team within the Hotel Solutions group. Our team builds exceptional, strategic, and long-term relationships with the largest and most valuable hotel companies with the Hotel Solutions portfolio. We find ways to solve our clients’ many business challenges with a variety of Tripadvisor solutions, thereby supporting our customers and driving revenue for Tripadvisor. We work across multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure we find the right strategy for each of our partners.
As a Senior. Key Account Executive at TripAdvisor, you will work with both existing and new customers, engage in a consultative sales approach, demonstrate our business value and ultimately sell Tripadvisor solutions to our clients. You will have access to a variety of training programs, processes and tools to support success in this role. The ideal candidate will have strong sales DNA, be results-driven, execution-focused and customer-oriented.
You are the right person for this role if you are proactive, motivated, strategic, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced, highly-driven and entrepreneurial environment. This role requires excellent sales and communications skills as well as effective relationship-building talents. Beyond that, we are seeking sales experience in e-commerce, SAS, and other digital platforms along with demonstrated success with exceeding sales targets.
Flexible to Remote US / Needham, MA / NYC Office
What You'll Do:
- Develop trusting relationships with a portfolio of major clients while driving product adaptations and expansion.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and goals
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- Provide in-depth product demonstrations along with the ability to negotiate and close new business
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- Consultatively position our hotel solutions, value proposition and benefit for business success
- Modify customer engagement to overcome objections and win customers; identify solutions to issues and concerns.
- Be capable of engaging with prospects appropriate to their needs and metrics (i.e. Return-on-Investment, traffic, views, and sessions)
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets monthly and quarterly on revenue, conversion number of new customers & other related KPIs
- Resolve issues and problems faced by customers in a way that fully addresses their needs and strengthens the relationship.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of successfully engaging senior stakeholders and driving measurable results within complex, matrixed organizations
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Inside Sales or Key Account Management, with a strong preference for Acquisition and Business Development roles
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and influence decision-makers across all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated excellence across the full sales cycle, including prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing, with consistently high performance standards
- Comfortable navigating technical conversations and conducting live, client-facing product walkthroughs or co-browsing sessions
- Highly motivated, target-driven self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to execute independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong territory and pipeline management experience, with proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce to drive forecasting accuracy and business insights
- Growth mindset with a high degree of coachability, openness to feedback, and a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in day-to-day work.

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $76,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
