TripArc’s goals are simple. To make our network of over 1400 travel entities more profitable, efficient and help them create truly unique travel for their clients.

 

TripArcs’ software development team is looking for an experienced technical team leader to manage a team of developers build out software aligned to our road-map initiatives. Initiates in our portfolio include empowering Travel Advisors to craft exceptional travel experiences for their end-customers. Our various software solution space covers a range of tasks, including itinerary building to quote and booking management. You will work alongside a multi-functional team composed of technology leadership, product managers, UX designers and project management professionals, with a goal of driving sales performance and revenue growth. Your work will involve working with the project team to craft a development backlog for your development team. You will become the owner and expert of your domain, gaining a deep understanding of the platform and the overall market. You will be an active development resource and mentor to your team, including their individual growth. You will own the project from inception to a strong CI/CID release management environment, adhering to our DevOps guidelines. 
 
We are software development company that is following the Agile manifesto, prioritizing work based on the value it brings to our clients. During each two-week sprint, our developers plan, write, test, integrate and bug fix while collaborating on teams with skilled Project Managers, UX and product resources, which are dedicated to the team. We hire problem solvers, not technicians and look for self-motivated individuals with diverse backgrounds able to use the best tool for the job, contribute new ideas, and help bring them to life. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

Team Leadership (50%) 

  • Lead a team of full-stack developers working on modern .NET and cloud-native technologies. 
  • Drive agile development practices, ensuring high velocity and quality deliverables across bi-weekly sprints. 
  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting their career development and technical skill advancement. 
  • Own sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release processes, while promoting DevOps best practices (CI/CD, testing, observability). 
  • Enforce coding standards, unit testing, documentation, and code review culture. 

  

 

Solution Architecture (50%) 

  • Design end-to-end technical solutions that align with product goals, business needs, and platform strategy. 
  • Architect scalable microservices and event-driven systems leveraging the Microsoft stack and Azure ecosystem. 
  • Evaluate, recommend, and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies to future-proof the platform. 
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and Stakeholders to turn complex requirements into clear, actionable system designs. 
  • Produce architectural documentation, design patterns, and technical guidelines to ensure system integrity and sustainability. 
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements for the travel industry. 
  • Ideal Candidate Profile 

  

  

Technical Qualifications 

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft .NET stack (C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework). 
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Developer with architectural responsibilities. 
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, and event-driven architectures (EDA). 
  • Front-end experience with Angular 17+, and familiarity with UI/UX frameworks such as Material Design. 
  • Solid experience with Azure cloud services, DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), and distributed systems. 
  • Comfortable with relational (SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases. 
  • Familiarity with caching, messaging, and integration tools such as Redis, GraphQL, ElasticSearch, and Auth0. 

  

Leadership & Communication 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead development teams and influence architectural decisions at the organizational level. 
  • Strong communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Ability to champion best practices and establish scalable architectural frameworks in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Our Stack 

We build our software on the Microsoft stack. Our web-based platforms utilize modern JavaScript frameworks such a Angular over a Microsoft .NET Core MVC application base. We implement RESTful WebAPIs to interact with our relational database systems (such as SQL Server) using the Entity Framework. Additionally, our custom-built APIs also reach into our CMS and caching middleware.  Other technologies we work with include Azure Services, Kubernetes, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, GraphQL, Auth0, Docker, Cloudinary, Angular. We use the VS 2022 IDE, VS Code or Rider for development.  

 

We are currently upgrading and migrating to a microservices architecture and the latest automated build tools and this role will offer people we hire the opportunity to be involved in evaluating our options and defining the optimal approach to implementation.
