Compliance Officer
About the Role
We are an organization seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to ensure that all business operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity, quality, and ethical standards of our services. Prior experience with OMIG (Office of the Medicaid Inspector General) regulations is highly preferred.
The Compliance Officer will design, implement, and oversee the company’s compliance program while serving as the primary resource for compliance-related guidance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance program in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.
● Conduct routine audits of billing, documentation, and clinical processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
● Identify potential risk areas, recommend solutions, and develop corrective action plans as needed.
● Lead and oversee investigations into compliance concerns, ensuring fair and thorough resolution.
● Provide ongoing training and education to staff on compliance standards, policies, and procedures.
● Act as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries, concerns, and reporting.
● Stay current on regulatory changes, particularly OMIG requirements, and update internal practices accordingly.
● Collaborate with leadership to integrate compliance into operational and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
● 3+ years of compliance, regulatory, or audit experience within healthcare or behavioral health services.
● Strong knowledge of Medicaid compliance regulations, with OMIG expertise highly desirable.
● Demonstrated ability to design and manage compliance programs.
● Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities.
● High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
