Account Payable Coordinator 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator for our Finance team.  

This highly motivated, data-driven individual will be responsible for processing account payable transactions, maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

This position reports to Accounts Payable Manager. This role is hybrid and is based in Somerville, MA, New England region. 
  

Responsibilities: 

  • Ability to handle high volume invoice and purchase order processing.
  • Maximize cash position while maintaining good vendor relations.
  • Coordinate with the supervisor to improve the efficiency of the department and meet all deadlines.
  • Communicate with personnel, other departments and vendors to evaluate problem areas and establish processes to increase quality of performance.
  • Responsible for all A/P related bank account reconciliations and month end close.
  • Data entry of vendor invoices, including reconciling trade vendor statements
  • Maintain our purchase order system
  • Completion of twice-weekly check runs
  • Coding of all vendor invoices
  • Processing of W9 Filing
  • Reconciliation of 1099 & Reporting
  • Ability to handle themselves in a professional manner
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable and other accounting functions as needed.

Basic requirements: 

  • 1-2+ years of experience with accounts payable.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Great Plains
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation 

Preferred requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or other related field
