Technical Services Operations Specialist

Triumvirate Environmental (TEI), one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is looking for a Technical Services / Operations Specialist for our New Braunfels, Texas, team.

The person filling this role will report to the Market Specialist of the Texas Region, and will provide support services to include, but not limited to project set-up, project tracking, project management, client interface, purchasing, and invoicing.

TEI provides a wide range of field services to support an array of clients from industry, manufacturing, government, development, and many other entities. We provide spill response, remediation, tank/containment cleaning, tank removal, waste disposal, and many other services for these clients on small- and large-scale projects. This position reports to Field Services Manager. This role is onsite and is based in New Braunfels, TX. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Create work orders for all scheduled jobs, coordinate interdepartmentally to ensure completeness and accuracy of required documents to perform service prior to use by operations department.
  • Print work orders and/or regulatory paperwork associated with field service work.
  • Reconcile work orders upon return from completing work in the field. Ensure completeness and accuracy during reconciliation of completed orders in the company’s operations software.
  • Set-up or assist in setting up new clients that result from incoming service requests or from outside sales department and ensure customer information is complete accurately input into company software.
  • Respond timely and accurately to company and client inquiries and process order requests according to established standards.
  • Perform necessary research and work inter-departmentally to escalate and resolve problems.
  • Performs necessary record keeping activities including but not limited to manifest filing, rental asset tracking, PPE and supply inventories and project cost reconciling.
  • Maintain adequate supply of regulatory paperwork such as manifests/ BOL documents required to perform services.
  • Coordinate with and assist Accounting Department on job costing.
  • Process vendor invoices and enter costing data into operational software.
  • General clerical duties such as answering phones, faxing documents, filing, and office organization.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisors or business needs.

Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Environmental Sciences, Construction Management, or related field preferred, or 3 years related experience.
  • Experience in the construction industry or in consulting services a plus.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • The knowledge of hazmat and environmental industry will be taught.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and PDF applications. Experience with other software applications would be an asset.
  • Self-motivated and strong organizational skills.
  • Above average comprehension skills to understand instructions and safety rules both verbal and written.
  • The ability to be detail oriented.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, supervisors, drivers, employees and the general public.
  • Good general attitude
  • Must be highly accurate and able to maintain confidentiality of various types of information.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
