Maintenance Technician

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Maintenance Technician for our Pennsylvania recycling operation.  The pay range for this position is $20-$35/ hr. depending upon education and experience. The schedule is an overnight 12 hour shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. You will train on daylight schedule before transitioning into the overnight shift. 

In this role, you’ll do more than just turn a wrench, you’ll keep the heartbeat of our recycling facility strong. From managing blade changes and Blade inventories to troubleshooting, repairing grinding equipment, you’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring that our advanced recycling machinery operates at peak performance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular blade changes on grinder equipment to ensure production goals are met. 
  • Must have basic skills using power/hand tools 
  • Perform blade sharpening
  • Maintain blade inventory to ensure we have blades available for blade change outs. 
  • Assist maintenance technicians with maintenance tasks, such as mold changes  
  • Ability to follow directions and work as a team or individual 
  • Comply with OSHA safety rules 
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders 
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area, on and off the floor 
  • WOW! Internal and external customers 
  • Other duties as needed
  • This role is considered safety sensitive.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience performing mechanical maintenance activities 
  • Experience with grinding equipment in a manufacturing environment a plus 
  • Must be able to work safely around industrial equipment 
  • Ability to operate large precision shop machinery.
  • Strong aptitude in problem solving and process improvement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to articulate problems and solutions.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and personal initiative related to problem resolution duties with follow-through and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing stressful situations
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
  • Collaborate effectively with team members
  • Demonstrate openness to learning by adapting to new processes, incorporating constructive feedback, and taking initiative to develop skills and expertise
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • This role is considered safety sensitive.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Previous forklift experience

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing environment where hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toed boots are required.
  • Large facility with approximately 100,000 square feet of ground to cover.
  • Seasonal variation in temperature and weather conditions.
  • Frequent radio communication with operators and managers.
  • Teamwork-centered atmosphere with over 100 employees.
