Inside Sales Representative
Triumvirate Environmental, one of North America's largest environmental services firms, is seeking a self-motivated, driven, mid-level Inside Sales Representative for our Somerville, MA office.
This role's main responsibility is to prospect new business and generate leads through cold calling and other means of outreach. The goal is to open a door, qualify a need, and set up follow-up meetings for our Business Development team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in outbound sales, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid role based in our Somerville, MA corporate office and reporting to the Director of Sales. The first 90 days are fully onsite, after which a hybrid schedule is available pending approval from the Director and Human Resources.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain targeted prospect lists aligned with regional goals, service capabilities, and key industry segments
- Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, email campaigns, social media, and other outreach methods to generate new business opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to qualify leads, uncover customer needs, schedule appointments, and support pipeline development
- Apply a consultative sales approach to uncover prospect pain points, identify business challenges, and effectively communicate potential consequences of inaction
- Develop a strong understanding of Triumvirate’s services, industry applications, and how different roles within target organizations align to our solutions
- Manage the full lead generation process, including outreach, appointment setting, follow-up, and pipeline tracking using CRM and sales engagement tools
- Conduct ongoing prospect research, data entry, and activity tracking to improve targeting and overall prospecting effectiveness
- Provide regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline progress, and results to management
- Partner with internal teams across departments to strengthen understanding of services, ensure alignment, and support seamless service delivery
- Participate in cross-functional training and key account discussions to gain exposure to operations, customer expectations, and service execution
- Develop foundational knowledge of pricing, service costs, invoicing processes, and margin considerations to support informed selling conversations
- Demonstrate awareness of health and safety standards relevant to field operations and use this knowledge to evaluate prospect fit when appropriate
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders through clear communication and consistent follow-up
- Contribute to team development by participating in training programs focused on sales skills, communication, and leadership growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related experience, with exposure to consultative selling (through training, coursework, or hands-on experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and structured prospecting cadences
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent active listening skills and ability to identify customer needs and pain points
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent follow-up
- Self-starter who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to develop rapport quickly with prospects and colleagues
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Leadership experience or demonstrated willingness to mentor and support peers is a plus
- Familiarity with RCRA, DOT, and OSHA regulations is a plus

Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
Pay Range
$70,000 - $90,000 USD
