Strategic Finance Manager, GTM

United States - Remote

Build a Safer World.

TRM Labs provides blockchain analytics and AI solutions to help law enforcement and national security agencies, financial institutions, and cryptocurrency businesses detect, investigate, and disrupt crypto-related fraud and financial crime. TRM’s blockchain intelligence and AI platforms include solutions to trace the source and destination of funds, identify illicit activity, build cases, and construct an operating picture of threats. TRM is trusted by leading agencies and businesses worldwide who rely on TRM to enable a safer, more secure world for all.

As a Manager in Strategic Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping TRM’s financial trajectory by driving rigorous planning, analysis, and reporting with a primary focus on supporting GTM strategy and execution. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance, you’ll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success to deliver insights that help TRM scale efficiently and strategically. You’ll lead core FP&A rhythms — including forecasting, reporting, and long-range planning — while building dynamic models and crafting clear, compelling narratives for executives, the board, and investors. This role is a strong fit for an analytically rigorous, detail-oriented finance athlete who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex problems collaboratively.

Strategic Finance at TRM is still early — you will shape not just the business, but also the team and culture as we build a world-class function. This role is an exceptional launch pad for an ambitious finance professional seeking outsized impact, close mentorship, and accelerated growth.

The impact you will have:

  • Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting and reporting rhythms, with deep ownership of GTM forecasts (bookings, ARR, pipeline, and headcount), partnering closely with the Head of Strategic Finance
  • Own budget-vs-actuals updates for GTM functions, identifying variances across sales capacity, marketing spend, and customer acquisition metrics
  • Develop board-ready materials and compelling financial narratives related to growth performance, efficiency, and ROI for executive reviews and company all-hands meetings
  • Support comprehensive top-down and bottoms-up financial planning for 2026 and beyond, including sales capacity modeling, quota planning, and growth scenarios
  • Build models and templates to inform GTM investment decisions, including hiring, target setting, and marketing mix
  • Drive strategic projects — including pricing and packaging, sales compensation economics, vendor optimization, ROI analysis, and more
  • Assist with investor reporting and fundraising, articulating TRM’s GTM strategy, unit economics, and path to efficient scale, with a path toward increasing ownership and responsibility

What we’re looking for:

  • 4–7 years of experience across investment banking, investing, consulting, or finance at a high-growth tech company
  • Experience supporting revenue-driving or customer-facing teams (Sales, Marketing, RevOps, or CS) strongly preferred
  • Expert-level Excel and Google Sheets modeling skills
  • Clarity and polish in writing and presentations
  • Experience with planning cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Comfort with working independently and proactively driving outcomes
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration preferred; MBA a plus

About the Team:

Strategic Finance at TRM is a high-leverage function that works directly with senior leadership to drive forecasting, decision support, and company-wide strategic impact. The team is led by operators with experience in high-growth startups, private equity investing, and consulting, with a strong focus on business partnership.

We operate with urgency and precision — using models, analytics, and clear narratives to drive decisions. We value curiosity, structured thinking, and a high bar for execution. We’re looking for someone who thinks like an operator, communicates like a trusted advisor, and executes with the rigor of a world-class finance professional. If you thrive in ambiguity and enjoy turning data into direction, you’ll fit right in.

Life at TRM

We are building a safer world. That promise shows up in how we work every day.

TRM runs fast. Really fast. We’re a high‑velocity, high‑ownership team that expects clarity, follow‑through, and impact. People who thrive here are energized by hard problems, experimentation, and direct feedback. If something takes months elsewhere, it often ships here in days.

That pace isn’t for everyone. If you are optimizing primarily for consistent work-life balance, use the interview process to pressure-test fit. We want teammates who thrive here, not just survive here.

Leadership Principles

We hire and grow against three leadership principles. They’re the standards for how we operate, treat each other, and make decisions.

  • Impact-Oriented Trailblazer: We put customers first and move with speed, focus, and adaptability. We treat every plan like an experiment – test, ship, measure, and iterate quickly.
  • Master Craftsperson: We care deeply about our craft. We balance speed with high standards, own outcomes end‑to‑end, and invest in getting better everyday.
  • Inspiring Colleague: We add clarity and energy, not noise. We bring humility, candor, and a one‑team mindset — giving and receiving feedback to make the team stronger.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
