Senior Product Analyst

United States – Remote

TRM Labs is a blockchain intelligence company committed to fighting crime and creating a safer world. By leveraging blockchain data, threat intelligence, and advanced analytics, our products empower governments, financial institutions, and crypto businesses to combat illicit activity and global security threats. At TRM, you'll join a mission-driven, fast-paced team made up of experts in law enforcement, data science, engineering, and financial intelligence, tackling complex global challenges daily. Whether analyzing blockchain data, developing cutting-edge tools, or collaborating with global organizations, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact.

We’re hiring a Senior Product Analyst to establish and lead our Product Analytics function at TRM. As our first dedicated hire in this area, you’ll play a foundational role in shaping how we use data to drive product decisions. TRM’s product surface and customer base have scaled significantly in recent quarters — and with that growth comes complexity. We need sharper insight loops to confidently answer: Did this feature work? Should we double down or pivot? Where are we leaving value on the table?

This role exists to close that gap. You'll be the bridge between what we build and why it works — combining causal inference, business context, and data storytelling to uncover what drives impact. Your work will shape the product roadmap, define how success is measured, and help ensure we’re building the right things for the right users.

The impact you will have here:

  • Experimentation & Causal Analysis — Design, launch, and analyze controlled experiments (feature flags, quasi‑experiments) to validate product bets; deliver statistically robust recommendations that directly influence ship/iterate/kill decisions.
  • Insight Generation & Roadmap Influence — Translate complex product & customer data into crisp narratives that reshape priorities and unlock ARR or risk‑reduction upside.
  • KPI Framework & Dashboard Ownership — Define north‑star and supporting metrics, build data models & dashboards, and ensure leadership consumes a single source of truth for product health.
  • Data Quality & Instrumentation Governance — Partner with R&D to spec, QA, and monitor event tracking; author tests and anomaly alerts so teams trust the numbers.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experiment Design & Statistical Methods — Skilled in designing robust experiments and deriving meaningful causal inferences that influence product direction.
  • Advanced SQL Modeling — Writes modular, tested SQL models that power dashboards and experimentation frameworks; contributes to codebase via GitHub.
  • Data Storytelling & Stakeholder Influence — Builds compelling narratives that connect user behavior to business outcomes; adjusts depth and format for execs vs. ICs.
  • Ownership Mindset — Proactively improves instrumentation, ensures reliable data pipelines, and closes the loop between product changes and insights.

About the Team:

We are a small but foundational function — currently a team of 1 — with direct access to senior decision-makers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-autonomy environments and wants to shape how analytics is done at a fast-scaling company. The team operates with high trust, close cross-functional collaboration, and a deep investment in product thinking.

We default to async communication but prioritize fast iteration and clarity. Weekly standups with Product and R&D ensure close alignment with product launches and prioritization.

Operating Rhythm:

  • This is a US-based role.
  • Expect ~4 hours of overlap with PST working hours.
  • No on-call or weekend work expected.

Learn about TRM Speed in this position:

  • Able to extract insights for every product release within 72 hours of launch.
  • Influences quarterly roadmap priorities through data-backed insights.
  • Drives velocity of experiment volume — aims for experiments on all net-new product functionality.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
