YOUR MISSION
Software is the foundation of True Anomaly’s innovation. As a DevOps Engineer I, you will support our engineering teams by learning and assisting with the deployment, monitoring, and automation of our software systems. In this entry-level role, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced DevOps professionals, helping to maintain and improve our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn the fundamentals of software deployment and operations, contributing to the evolution of our cloud-based systems.
- Assist in maintaining reliable, version-controlled deployments that play a vital role in our engineering and product development.
- Work alongside senior team members to support and refine CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions.
- Assist in deploying and scaling applications on container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), ensuring that these environments meet performance and cost expectations.
- Support the design and management of cloud-based solutions, primarily on Azure, while applying security best practices.
- Help provision and manage cloud resources using tools like Terraform.
- Collaborate with security teams by following established security guidelines and best practices.
- Assist in monitoring system performance and troubleshooting performance or deployment issues.
- Participate in building and refining Docker images for our development and testing environments.
- Experiment with emerging development tools and techniques, aiming to modernize and streamline our workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- 0 - 2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud environments, or systems administration
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and familiarity with command line tools
- Introductory experience or coursework in CI/CD concepts, containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Exposure to basic scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- A strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Any hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) or related certifications is a plus
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform can be beneficial
- Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and technology advancement through projects or internships
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: Denver: $80,000 - $100,000 | Long Beach: $85,000 - $105,000
- Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Long Beach, Denver or Colorado Springs. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
- Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
- Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
