Head of Facilities, Non-Production Operations

Long Beach, CA

Space is a warfighting domain. True Anomaly seeks those with the talent and ambition to build the technology that secures it.

OUR MISSION

True Anomaly delivers decisive capabilities for space superiority. We build autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors — enabling the U.S. and its Allies to secure the space environment and counter threats from the ultimate high ground.

OUR VALUES

  • Be the offset. We create asymmetric advantages with creativity and ingenuity.
  • What would it take? We challenge assumptions to deliver ambitious results.
  • It’s the people. Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.

YOUR MISSION

We are looking for an operations leader to take ownership of the everyday workplace operations at True Anomaly. From office management to culinary, janitorial to groundskeeping to beyond, you'll lead the teams and vendors that keep our workplaces running at a high standard. You own the full OPEX picture for our workplaces — managing to budget, forecasting with rigor, and always bringing cost-saving options to the table. You think in partnerships: working hand-in-hand with Real Estate to draw the line between Landlord scope and ours and with Development Planners to set long-term standards that drive operational efficiency downstream. You're a people leader at heart, a sharp cross-functional partner, and you'll flex to support services in our production areas when the mission calls for it. You take immense pride in your craft, and that pride shows up everywhere — in workplaces that run well, employees who feel taken care of, and an operations function that scales like a well-oiled machine.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and develop operations teams across multiple workplaces to support ongoing day-to-day needs, including office management, culinary/snacks, janitorial, groundskeeping, and related services. Define and own third-party vendor strategy across all service categories, ensuring consistent quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across the portfolio. Own the full OPEX budget for our workplaces, reporting out on forecast vs. budget regularly and surfacing cost-saving options. Partner hand-in-hand with the Real Estate team to define what work scope is the Landlord's responsibility versus ours. Partner hand-in-hand with Development Planners to develop long-term standards that support operational efficiencies downstream. Build scalable operations standards and processes that support growth into additional sites while maintaining a strong employee experience across all spaces. Support services within production areas as needed. Serve as a people leader and cross-functional partner inside and outside Facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in workplace operations
  • People management experience, including developing and growing teams
  • Proven ability to own and manage a full OPEX budget, including forecasting and cost-saving identification
  • Proven ability to define and manage third-party vendor strategy across multiple service categories
  • Experience partnering with real estate on lease scope (Landlord vs. tenant responsibilities)
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable operations standards and processes
  • Track record of delivering a strong employee experience across multiple sites
  • Experience scaling a workplace operations function into new sites in a high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with office management, culinary, janitorial, and groundskeeping service categories

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting secure environments
  • Experience supporting services within production or manufacturing areas

OTHER

  • Work Location - This position will be onsite 4 to 5 days per week at our Long Beach, CA facility

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $145,000-$210,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education and experience.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
