YOUR MISSION

As a Software Engineer on the Digital Engineering team, you will help build, operate, and maintain the in-house software behind our digital thread — applications and services that keep product data connected across the product lifecycle and, over time, become the systems of record our teams work in every day. You'll ship real features across the stack from day one and work alongside senior and staff engineers who will invest in your growth.

You will learn the product-data domain — how requirements, design, PLM, ERP, manufacturing, and quality data connect — while contributing directly to delivery and operations. This is a high-growth role in a fast-paced environment where your work has immediate, visible impact.

This is an ideal role for an engineer early in their career or a few years in who is eager to learn, takes ownership, and wants to grow quickly alongside experienced engineers building something foundational. We're hiring at levels I through III; your level will be set based on your experience and interviews.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build Across the Stack

  • Build features across the stack — services, APIs, data models, and web user interfaces — with guidance from senior engineers and growing independence over time.
  • Implement data flows, mappings, and workflow automation between our software and the engineering systems we use today.
  • Help migrate data and users onto in-house software as it replaces off-the-shelf tools.
  • Take on larger pieces of work as you grow — at level III, owning features end to end, from design through production.

Operate & Improve

  • Write tests, contribute to code reviews, and help keep our applications and services observable and reliable.
  • Help operate our software in production, including monitoring, triage, and resolving user-reported, sync, and data-quality issues.
  • Write clear technical documentation and grow your understanding of the engineering ecosystem and digital thread.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Up to ~5 years of software development experience; internships, academic, or equivalent projects count for early-career candidates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and a willingness to work in our stack (e.g., Go, TypeScript).
  • Understanding of APIs, databases, web application fundamentals, and basic distributed-systems concepts.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn the product-data domain.
  • Good written communication and collaboration habits.
  • U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. Person) as required under ITAR.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building web applications (e.g., TypeScript, React) through work, internships, coursework, or personal projects.
  • Exposure to system integrations, data pipelines, or event-driven services.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS), CI/CD, and testing practices.
  • Any exposure to PLM, ERP, manufacturing execution (MES), requirements/ALM, or MBSE systems.
  • Interest in aerospace, defense, or engineering data.

COMPENSATION

  • Denver, Colorado Base Salary: $70,000 – $160,000
  • Long Beach, California Base Salary: $75,000 – $165,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This role operates in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment supporting national security space operations, where adaptability and rapid decision-making are essential.
  • Participation in an on-call and support rotation may be required as you grow into operating our software in production.
  • A supportive, mentorship-driven environment with room to take on increasing ownership.
  • Occasional travel to other company sites as needed.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Work Location: this role is fully onsite at our facilities in Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA. #LI-Onsite
  • Work environment is a standard office setting, working at a desk or on a production factory floor.
  • Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20 lbs.
  • This position will be open until it is successfully filled.
