YOUR MISSION

The Technical Program Manager, System Data Analysis serves as a technical data integrator across subsystem and system-level test activities, transforming engineering, test, and mission data into accurate, actionable insights before and after test campaigns. This role is focused on technical data integration & analysis, supporting test planning and execution by defining data-analysis approaches, preparing pre-test and pre-mission data products, coordinating data needs across engineering and test teams, and ensuring that instrumentation, telemetry, and other data systems support test objectives. Following test execution, this role leads data processing, analysis, synthesis, and reporting to support test assessment, anomaly identification, and technical decision-making. This position works closely with engineering, test operations, systems engineering, modeling and simulation, program leadership, customers, and other external stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine strong technical data-analysis skills with the communication and organizational abilities required to coordinate across multiple teams, create clear test outbriefs, manage the data sets' integration across the program's various needs, and flow relevant datasets and insights to the modeling and simulation team.

What You’ll Own

  • Support data analysis across subsystem-, system-, ground-, and flight-test programs from pre-test planning through post-test assessment; develop analysis plans aligned with test objectives, requirements, success criteria, and expected system behavior.
  • Define data products, processing workflows, analysis methods, and visualizations in coordination with engineering, test, instrumentation, telemetry, ground systems, and modeling and simulation teams.
  • Review test plans, procedures, instrumentation, telemetry, and data-acquisition approaches to ensure required data is available, usable, and traceable.
  • Perform data ingestion, conditioning, synchronization, reduction, validation, and analysis; analyze time-series, telemetry, instrumentation, and performance data.
  • Assess data quality, completeness, calibration, consistency, and traceability; compare measured results with requirements, predictions, simulations, reference cases, and expected system performance.
  • Identify and support the characterization, triage, and resolution of anomalies, discrepancies, and unexpected system behavior.
  • Synthesize data across multiple subsystems and test sources to develop system-level conclusions; flow relevant datasets, assumptions, lessons learned, and insights to modeling and simulation teams.
  • Create technically rigorous test reports and executive-ready outbriefs for engineering teams, leadership, customers, and external stakeholders; translate complex findings into clear conclusions, visuals, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain analysis documentation, data dictionaries, scripts, plots, and traceability; manage deliverables, dependencies, risks, and data limitations; support readiness, post-test, anomaly, and other technical reviews while improving repeatability through automation, standardized data products, and configuration management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, applied mathematics, physics, data science, or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of relevant engineering industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience processing and analyzing data from engineering, ground, flight, or integrated system activities, including time-series, telemetry, instrumentation, data-acquisition, or other engineering datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience with MATLAB and Simulink skills for data processing, analysis, visualization, modeling, and simulation, with experience integrating with or analyzing C/C++-based system models. • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across engineering, test, operations, modeling and simulation, program management, and external stakeholder teams, including support for test planning, readiness reviews, post-test reviews, and anomaly investigations.
  • Ability to manage multiple analysis efforts, priorities, dependencies, and deliverables in a high-tempo, matrixed environment; influence teams without direct authority and maintain a strong commitment to data integrity, analytical rigor, and traceability.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering, applied mathematics, physics, data science, or a related technical discipline
  • Active U.S. security clearance (S, TS, TS/SCI)
  • Experience analyzing data from integrated spacecraft, missile systems, launch vehicles, high-performance flight systems, or other safety-critical platforms.
  • Experience supporting subsystem-level and integrated system-level testing, including flight test, ground test, hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, or mission simulation.
  • Experience developing automated data-processing pipelines, reusable analysis tools, or standardized technical data products.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
