Director, Product Strategy
True Classic is seeking a forward-thinking and analytical strategist to join as the Director of Product Strategy. Our business started with a single t-shirt, but has since expanded to include many other categories (e.g., Jeans, Activewear, Fleece, etc.). Your expertise will directly shape the future of our product lines and influence how we make our customers Look Good and Feel Good for years to come.
This role is pivotal in driving long-range product planning, innovation, and go-to-market excellence, offering you the chance to lead strategic initiatives that will impact our assortment. All of True Classic's roles are global and omni-channel, leading designated areas of accountability across all product categories, countries, and different sales & marketing channels. This means you will have the opportunity to impact our operations worldwide, ensuring a cohesive strategy that aligns with our overall business objectives and drives success across various markets and platforms.
This role will report directly to the Head of Commercial and work closely with Merchandising, Channel, and Marketing leads.
Key Areas of Accountability
Product Strategy Development:
- Evaluate the growth potential within specific product categories and identify new opportunities.
- Analyze customer and retailer feedback to determine which products to amplify or discontinue.
- Provide strategic recommendations to align product lines with evolving customer preferences and market trends.
Product Analytics:
- Identify the products that are currently driving customer advocacy and brand loyalty.
- Utilize data and customer insights to identify both immediate and long-term product improvement opportunities across the omni-channel ecosystem.
- Track and report product performance metrics, ensuring data-backed decisions are at the forefront of product strategy.
Go-To-Market Planning:
- Develop a detailed go-to-market roadmap, determining the optimal sequence and timing for new product launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to ensure seamless product rollouts.
- Monitor and refine launch plans to maximize market impact and customer reception.
Product Innovation:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive long-term product roadmap that anticipates market needs and trends.
- Drive the development and ownership of unique product categories within the apparel space, setting the company apart from competitors.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, or related roles within the apparel or fashion industry.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven product analysis and strategic planning.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and demonstrated ability to drive growth through strategic product initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of customer behavior and trends in the apparel and/or fashion market
- Creative mindset with a strong sense of market trends and product innovation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

Work Environment:
This is a remote position allowing you to work from the comfort of your home or any location with reliable internet access within the United States. You will spend extended periods at a computer, so a comfortable and ergonomic workspace is essential. We provide the necessary tools and support to ensure a productive and collaborative virtual work experience. Additionally, the company holds quarterly all-hands meetings in California, which you would be expected to travel to and attend in person.
