Sterilization Assistant (Level 1 Dental Assistant)

Role Hours:
• Monday: Every other Monday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturday: Every other Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Job Overview
Vellore Village Family Dentistry is a family-friendly, patient-centered, modern dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and energetic Sterilization Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during a wide range of clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments according to IPAC standards
- Maintain and monitor sterilization equipment, logs, indicators, and biological testing
- Prepare instrument trays and operatory setups for clinical procedures
- Assist with operatory turnover, including surface disinfection, barrier placement, and restocking
- Organize sterile storage areas and ensure proper inventory rotation
- Support the dental team with basic clinical or administrative tasks as assigned
- Follow all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and sterilization guidelines
- Ensure the steri-centre remains clean, organized, and fully compliant
- Maintain a steady flow of instruments to support efficient clinical operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental sterilization or dental assisting role is preferred (training can be provided)
- Strong understanding of IPAC standards and infection control protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated to support a collaborative dental team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

Compensation
• Pay Range: $22.00–$24.00 per hour
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and skills.
