Dental Patient Care Coordinator 
Maternity Leave Contract (June 2026-July 2027)

Role Type: Full-Time, Maternity Leave Contract (June 2026 until July 2027)
Role Hours: Monday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Tuesday 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Wednesday 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Thursday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and one Saturday per month from 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-oriented Dental Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly, supportive, and growing dental office.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding patient experience while supporting the administrative operations of the practice. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with dental terminology and office procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
  • Manage inbound/outbound calls: schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and support patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental.
  • Process patient information, insurance details, and claims according to office policies.
  • Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
  • Support treatment plan coordination and financial discussions, when required.
  • Complete administrative duties including filing, data entry, email correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and reception area.
  • Assist with monitoring and ordering office supplies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of dental administration experience 
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and office procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with Open Dental software is an asset.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Professional presentation, positive attitude, and patient-centered mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a busy, team-oriented clinical environment.

Compensation
• Pay Range: $22.00–$26.00 per hour
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and skills.
