Job Summary
The Manufacturing Supervisor will coordinate and manage all aspects of the organization’s day-to-day manufacturing production processes. The Supervisor will develop and implement plans to efficiently utilize labor and equipment to ensure that all parts, assemblies, and final products are produced on schedule according to established company processes. The Supervisor will work collaboratively with other departments to develop manufacturing and production plans, schedules and targets and will take full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and on-time delivery requirements are met. The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead the Manufacturing Production Team members on best practices and established company policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure all manufactured components are produced efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for safety, quality, lead time, cost and to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Oversee RMA and MRB process and repairs in their area of responsibility as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.
- Review and approve all work order time entries for the manufacturing staff Daily.
- Verify and close work orders when completed for all MFG operations. (Assembly and Test).
- Review the accuracy of Manufacturing staff payroll time sheets and approve daily.
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact.
- Monitor and report shop labor efficiencies. Control and minimize overtime.
- Consistently promote high standards and dedicated work ethic through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.
- Perform the duties of, or re-allocate personnel for, unplanned critical project work.
- Monitor operations and trigger Quality corrective actions when problems occur.
- Record, analyze, maintain, and report on achievement of KPI’s/targets and identify any actions required.
- Participate in the development of the Master Production Schedule, adjust manufacturing programs according to customer priorities.
- Lead and attend meetings to present and communicate delivery status, delays, shortages, throughput of stock to other departments/managers.
- Provide the know-how and technical expertise to the team for projects.
- Create a safe work environment by ensuring that safety guidelines are being met.
- Implement and manage all equipment preventative maintenance activities and requirements to required intervals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Supervisors will lead and develop the manufacturing team, ensuring high levels of performance, adequate staffing levels, training, development, appraisal, attendance issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity.
Position Requirements
- Associate degree in an Engineering or Business related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Coursework in electronics, manufacturing, business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), as well as strong organizational skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Must have strong computer literacy to use ERP, PC and Microsoft products: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- May Participate in the identity verification process to access secure client or government portals by authorizing certified supplier or customer management platforms to obtain information from your personal credit profile or other information, solely to verify your identity.
Physical Requirements
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
- Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
- Seeing to read a variety of materials.
- Sitting or standing for extended period of time.
- Physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height. Any items that weigh more than 50 pounds will require two or more people or a lifting device to move.
- Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
Pay/Salary Information Pay scale for this position depending on experience- $80,000 - $90,000 annually
