Job Summary
The IT/OT Systems and Network Administrator role will lead the digital transformation of Trust Automation’s operational technology (OT) environments. This role is central to advancing the systems that power our manufacturing floor and ensuring their stability, security, and performance.
The IT/OT Systems and Network Administrator will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and IT teams, bridging the gap between enterprise IT and industrial OT systems. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently while driving cross-functional initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain IT/OT infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, and industrial networks).
- Develop streamlined processes for provisioning IT components across OT and IT environments.
- Automate system provisioning and configuration management.
- Advance IT components for new programs and ensure alignment with business and operational goals.
- Collaborate with external system developers, third-party providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive and implement digital transformation strategies in OT environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs.
- Manage user accounts, access, and security policies across IT/OT systems.
- Develop and maintain system architecture documentation and standards.
- Partner with IT, Engineering, and Security teams to maintain compliance and cybersecurity.
- Participate in internal and external audits, maintaining proper documentation.
- Promote best practices in OT network and automation environments.
- Support change management, training, and communication for digital adoption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Provide escalation support for IT/OT incidents and performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC.
Position Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT, Networking, Systems Administration, or Digital Transformation roles.
- Hands-on expertise with:
- Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory
- Virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V)
- SAN and enterprise storage solutions
- Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or CCNA.
- Analytical, structured, and proactive problem-solver.
- Effective communicator across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge.
- May Participate in the identity verification process to access secure client or government portals by authorizing certified supplier or customer management platforms to obtain information from your personal credit profile or other information, solely to verify your identity.
Physical Requirements
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
- Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
- Seeing to read a variety of materials.
- Sitting or standing for extended period of time.
- Physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height. Any items that weigh more than 50 pounds will require two or more people or a lifting device to move.
- Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
Pay/Salary Information
Pay scale for this position - $110,000- $130,000.00 annually
