As a Regulatory Reporting Lead at a fast-growing digital bank, you’ll play a pivotal role in navigating complex reporting requirements, shaping scalable solutions, and influencing how we build resilient, compliant reporting systems. You’ll tackle real-world challenges, learn innovative ways of working, and contribute to delivering high-quality outcomes for both our regulators and our customers.

 

Job Description 

You will act as a trusted advisor to the business on regulatory reporting matters, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the Bank’s regulatory submissions. You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and be the key liaison for regulatory reporting. This role involves close collaboration with business data owners, technology teams, and offshore reporting partners to support end-to-end delivery of regulatory reports. You’ll also help maintain and strengthen controls over the regulatory reporting process.

This position requires strong leadership, solid knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements, sound financial accounting expertise, and a good understanding of banking products.

 

The Role Responsibility: 

 

  • Serve as the Bank’s subject matter expert and key liaison for MAS regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements and proactively highlight emerging issues or non-compliance to management.
  • Lead and manage an offshore team responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and submission of MAS financial, statistical, and ad-hoc reports.
  • Partner with data owners to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of inputs used in regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to support system implementations and enhancements, ensuring robust reporting controls and governance are in place.
  • Maintain strong relationships with MAS and other relevant regulatory bodies, including handling queries related to regulatory submissions.
  • Evaluate and implement reporting changes in response to new products, regulatory updates, or internal system developments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the regulatory reporting process and control environment.
  • Monitor key risk and control indicators, and escalate any deficiencies or control breaches, including gaps in control design.
  • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s risk and compliance policies across the regulatory reporting function.
  • Actively participate in financial accounting and reporting processes to broaden technical exposure and support cross-functional collaboration.

Our Ideal Candidate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA/CA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in in financial or regulatory reporting, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of MAS Notices (e.g., 610, 649, 637) and other applicable regulatory requirements in Singapore.
  • Experienced in managing teams (onshore or offshore) and working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex processes and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration, consensus building, problem resolution and communication skills are a prerequisite
