Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and results-driven Bancassurance Sales Associate Lead to lead and grow the Bancassurance sales team. You will drive and be responsible for the sales of primarily Life Insurance products through our strategic partnership with Income Insurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of a highly innovative, digital-first bancassurance strategy, focused on achieving high growth in both sales and customer acquisition. The Role Responsibility:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy: Develop, implement and refine sales activity management to drive the Bancassurance sales strategy for the partnership with Income, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, growth targets, and business development goals.
- Digital Integration & Innovation: Lead a digital first approach by utilising advanced digital tools and technologies (including Trust Bank app and online platforms) to engage customers. Continuously explore innovative ways to use digital tools to drive sales productivity and growth.
- Sales Target Achievement: Own and deliver the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for total insurance solutions by leading and motivating a team of Bancassurance sales representatives to meet or exceed assigned sales targets for life and general insurance products through Trust Bank’s platforms. Define and deliver sales plans and initiatives to ensure that sales targets are consistently met / exceeded.
- Customer Experience & Education: Ensure a consultative sales approach focused on needs-based recommendations, compliant selling practices and long-term customer value. Ensure and deliver a seamless and positive experience for customers throughout their journey from onboarding to policy issuance, utilising digital channels to educate and guide them through the decision-making process.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of Bancassurance sales representatives, providing regular coaching and development opportunities. Encourage a culture of excellence, teamwork, and high engagement.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with product, marketing, operations and insurance partner to enhance product awareness and uptake.
- Market Insights, Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and analyse market trends, customer preferences, competitor strategies, KPIs and use data to adapt and optimise sales efforts, and to improve funnel conversions. Prepare and provide regular performance updates, reports, and forecasts to senior management
- Compliance & Risk Management: Uphold and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory guidelines, internal standards and company policies, maintaining a high level of ethical and quality assurance standards in all customer interactions and sales activities.

Our Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience in bancassurance or insurance sales management, including at least 3 years in a team leadership role (3 to 5 members). Proven success in driving growth through partnerships with financial institutions, preferably within the digital or tech-driven sector.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- A Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Relevant insurance or financial planning certifications (e.g., CMFAS M5, M9, M9A, HI, BCP, PGI) will be required.
- Strong understanding of digital banking, online insurance platforms, and digital tools such as CRM systems, mobile apps, and social media for customer engagement. Familiarity with the digital landscape in Singapore is a must.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and team development skills with experience managing and motivating a sales team. Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, digitally evolving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex insurance solutions in a clear, engaging, and customer-friendly manner.
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, including life, general, and health insurance products, as well as a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape in Singapore.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data, market trends, and customer insights to formulate effective sales strategies.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, with a focus on understanding customer needs and offering tailored solutions.
