Scope of Position: The Onboarding and Consulting Services Specialist is a role within Trustwell’s Professional Services team, focused on delivering high-impact onboarding and regulatory consulting services to food and supplement industry customers. This position blends deep knowledge of US and international labeling regulations with hands-on project coordination, training, and customer enablement. This individual is responsible for supporting customers through all onboarding, system training, while also providing expert guidance on U.S., Canadian, Mexican, and European Union food and supplement labeling regulations. The specialist will help customers optimize their use of Trustwell’s tools and services for regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Although this role includes some responsibilities related to nutritional labeling regulations, the primary focus will be on customer onboarding and associated administrative tasks.
 
Success in this role requires a high level of professionalism, strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

  • Regulatory Consulting & Compliance 
    • Act as a subject matter expert on food and supplement labeling regulations across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and EU.
    • Create and guide customers in developing compliant product labels, including nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, and allergen disclosures.
    • Offer strategic regulatory consulting to support product development and market readiness.
    • Conduct research and provide authoritative answers to customer inquiries on labeling and compliance.
    • Manage and triage incoming regulatory consulting requests, ensuring timely responses and resource alignment.
    • Evaluate the scope and feasibility of regulatory consulting opportunities and develop clear deliverables.
    • Prepare and communicate time and resource estimates for regulatory consulting engagements.
    • Follow internal approval processes for regulatory consulting opportunities and maintain accurate documentation.
    • Collaborate with the Professional Services leadership team to ensure consistency and quality across regulatory engagements.
  • Customer Onboarding & Implementation
    • Lead onboarding sessions for new customers, including system walkthroughs, testing, and initial setup.
    • Align onboarding plans with each customer’s goals and success metrics; communicate progress throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Host training webinars to ensure user adoption and internal knowledge transfer.
  • Project Management & Collaboration
    • Manage multiple Professional Services projects simultaneously, including task tracking, project timelines, and issue resolution.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and time tracking for all in-flight projects using systems such as Smartsheet and Harvest.
    • Report regularly on project status, milestones, and open tasks to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Identify risks to project timelines and escalate proactively to leadership when appropriate.
    • Coordinate with Customer Success and Account Management to ensure seamless handoffs and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Internal Enablement & Process Improvement
    • Contribute to the refinement of onboarding processes and documentation based on experience and customer feedback.
    • Participate in internal User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new product releases and provide quality feedback.
    • Help maintain accurate, up-to-date training and documentation for internal teams and customers.
    • Stay current on product updates and regulatory trends to provide up-to-date guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Education/Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, or similar; required. Master’s degree preferred.  
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, nutritional labeling regulations, onboarding, or consulting; required.  
  • Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.  

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Genesis or Nutritional Analysis/Labeling Software experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in delivering virtual and in-person training to a variety of audiences. 
  • Expertise in data analysis and tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Power Query, Power Automate.
  • Proficiency in platforms such as FoodLogiQ, Salesforce, Smartsheet, JIRA, Gantt charts, and other SaaS tools is preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement, business consulting, or compliance-driven software implementation is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with a high-performing team.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment

Hiring Eligibility: This is a fully remote position open to candidates located anywhere within the United States. Eligibility to work remotely is subject to company policy and applicable state laws. Candidates must have work authorization to work for any U.S. based employer. Please note that certain benefits, taxes, or employment terms may vary by state.  

Compensation: The compensation for this role is anticipated around $60,000/per annum. The final salary will be factored by candidate skills, education, and other qualifications. This role is also bonus eligible [up to 10%] annually based on company performance and objectives.
